We spent the rest of the day going on lots of rides and eating all the junky, fair food you can think of.Wyatt managed to eat 3 corn dogs 2 churros and a large drink all in one sitting and when I questioned him about how he ate all that food, he just said "I'm a man!" and continued to stuff his face with junk.
After we ate, we walked over to the craziest ride there is, The Super Twister. "Are you sure you're not going to throw up after inhaling all that junk food?" Sophia asked Wyatt, a little bit concerned.
"No way! I am a man! I will not crumble under the pressure of spinny roller coasters!" he replies his inner dramatic actor starting to show.
"Haha well we'll see" Sophia and I share a look knowing all too well that Wyatt's stomach wouldn't stand a chance against the power of The Super Twister.
We waited patiently in line watching as we slowly moved under the sea sick green sign that held the name of the coaster . Maybe it symbolized how people looked when they got off the ride. Finally we got on the death trap of a ride, Wyatt was sitting in front of me so I couldn't quite see him but as soon as the ride stopped he turned to me.
His face was a sickly colour green and it resembled too much to the horrid sign from earlier.
I watched as Wyatt sprinted to the closest trash can and shoved his face into it. I glanced at Sophia, she was doubled over laughing her head off and I couldn't help but join her.
We walked over to Wyatt, his face was pale and he was holding his stomach. "W-what h-happened to 'I'm a m-man!'" Sophia asked, struggling to get the words out because she couldn't stop laughing.
"Shut up and let's go home" Wyatt mumbled. Sophia and I giggled the whole way back to the car and throughout the entire ride back to her house. By then, Wyatt was feeling a bit better and he even sang along to the last few songs that blasted through my car speakers before we reached our destination.
"That was super fun! We should go to RollerLand again before summer is over" I said as the two started to exit the car. "Ya totally! But next time I'll watch what I eat before going on The Super Twister" Wyatt responded wearily, remembering the pain from an hour ago.
"I still can't believe Amy completely embarrassed herself in front of that cute boy" Sophia teased causing my face to go red again.
"Whatever, I'll probably never see him again" I told her trying to reassure myself . She just giggled and said bye before closing my car door.
I drove home and went to bed considering it was getting pretty late. The next morning I woke up at 11:32 am and felt like I had no energy at all. Yesterday must've tired me out.
I was about to go back to sleep when I got a text from my mom who was already at work.
Mum
Can you please vacuum and clean upstairs today?
Ugh! Seriously! All I wanted to do was relax and now I have to do chores?!? I knew my mom would be pissed if I didn't do it so I lazily swung my legs of the side of my bed and stood up. If I was going to be able to clean the house today I was going to need the biggest cup of iced coffee I can get.
Since I was just going to swing by the coffee shop and I was so tired, I didn't bother getting ready. I just left the house with my huge sweatpants and hoodie on and my hair in the nastiest messy bun I've ever seen.
I pulled up to the parking lot outside Joe's (my favourite coffee shop) and locked my car. I opened the door, walked inside and was astonished at who was standing behind the counter.
It was the boy from yesterday who picked up my wallet for me. He had the blue uniform apron on and a matching blue cap that's caused his marvellous curls to spill out the sides.
As soon as I walked in, we made eye contact but I quickly moved my gaze down to the floor. He had already seen me, there was no going back now. I couldn't leave or even retreat and wait in my car until his shift was over, I had to go with it.
I slowly walked forward preparing myself for what was about to happen. "How can I help you?" The attractive boy asked with a smirk as I reached the counter. "U-um I'll have an iced mocha with coconut milk please" I stammered as I fumbled through my wallet to get the correct amount of money.
"Nice wallet" he said and I could feel my face going a tomato shade of red. "Can I get your name?" He asked and my head shot up to look at him an expression of surprise evident on my face. Why did he want my name? Was he trying to get to know me or something? All these questions went through my brain in about 2 seconds before he could say "f-for the drink". I could feel my heart drop a little as he said that. "Amy" I told him.
"Ok one iced mocha with coconut milk for Amy coming right up, will that be all for you today?" He asked and I could tell he was enjoying this. "Y-yes thank you" I stuttered and handed him the money.
He strode to the back counter and started to make my drink while I waited patiently.
Why was I feeling all these different emotions for this guy. He's making my fucking coffee for goodness sake!
It only took him 5 minutes to make my coffee and when he was done, he placed it up on the counter along with a croissant. "An iced mocha with coconut milk and a croissant for the lady" he said proudly. "Oh uh, I didn't order a croissant" I said nervously.
"It's on me" he said, a big smile on his face. His kind gesture made me grin "Thank you!" I said as I walked out the door. He's so sweet buying me breakfast when I don't even know him, I wonder why he did that. He's kinda cute and I can't help but think to myself, that boy does something to me that I can't explain.
