Chapter 1 Unexpected half day

Nathan, fourth month into the school year and he still sits in the hall; in front of his locker with his headphones, and pretending to use his phone so nobody bothers him. He doesn't look at the people walk or run past him or even the ones tripping over his shoes. He was glad today people where quiet. He failed to believe that he couldn't hear voices over his music; it was as silent as a ghost town. Nathan didn't even bother looking left or right to find out what was going on because he didn't care. A few people walk by him DEAD slow, but he refused to even look. Minutes passed and a man stood in front of him, Nathan felt unsafe and enclosed so he stood up to confront the man. As soon as he stood up he came face to face with a horribly disfigured man with blood covering his face. The man pushed Nathan to the wall wrestling with him. Nathan fought back will all his strength until he got away from him "what is your damn problem?" Nathan said. The man just moaned and slowly walked up to him as if to grab him. Nathan kept backing away until the man sprinted towards him very rapidly. Just before he got too close to Nathan, a bullet pierced through the man's skull killing him. "What the hell!", he looked back and saw a soldier with a biohazard suit telling him to go with him. "You don't have to tell me twice" said Nathan. They both walked down the hall and as soon as they turn a corner there was a huge group of slow zombified people. The guy in the suit told Nathan to stay silent, low, and to follow his lead. They both crouched down and walked up to the stair doors. "Hey Bio" said Nathan, "what is it" he replied, "What's your name?" "Can't tell you kid, sorry". "Well can you at least tell me what is going on?" "That's classified information" he said very rapidly, "well your classified info almost bit my face off!" Nathan said, very furiously. Bio ignored him and told him to follow. They finally made it to the school's auditorium and there were more guys with the same suits as Bio. He told Nathan to stay close as they walked through a group of the bio suits. They made it to a table and sat down to test Nathan for the virus, "hold still I'm going to take a blood sample" "go ahead" said Nathan. The results for the virus where negative, meaning Nathan was okay. Bio told him to walk up to the man at the school entrance and to tell him a code, it was 63547. "Okay I'll try to remember man" said Nathan. He walked up to the man and told him the code. The man said "okay you are free to go, there will be a truck waiting to evacuate you outside" and as soon as Nathan walked up to the door, the man drew a silenced 9mm Beretta. Nathan saw it from the glass door's reflection so he ducked down and the man shot the glass door. "What are you doing?" "Bio told me I was good to go". The man said "you should of just let me shoot you", "for what? I want to live!" "You're infected like everybody else that was breathing this air". Nathan called Bio; he arrived minute later feeling sorry that he lied to him. "Let me take care of the kid" he said, the others let him take Nathan to a quiet place for he would be executed in minutes. "So this is how it's going to be?" Nathan said with his head down. Bio turned around and said "of course not! Im just following orders but i cant bring myself to kill an innocent, I'm getting you out of here". "But you must promise me you won't leave the state". "Fine but how am I supposed to survive?" Bio looked at him and said "I'll teach you a thing or two".
