11 • Ready For A Change

(Itachi's POV)

It had been some time since I had departed from my family's club and I found my thoughts locked on Luna. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop thinking about her. Not only was I worried for her well-being, but I also wanted to spend more time with her. It's been so long since I left and it seemed like every time we had a chance to be alone, she would make an excuse in order to leave.

Frowning, I recalled all the lies and excuses she had used to either cover something up or to avoid me. 'There has to be some way I can get closer to her, I'm getting worried'

(Luna's POV)

Sasuke had finally decided to come and see me. We spent most of the day just lounging around together, but not before he fed from me. We had been sitting in an almost comfortable silence before it was interrupted by quick rapping on my door.

"Were you expecting someone today?" He raised an eyebrow in my direction, glancing to the door. Sasuke was the only person I ever had over. Besides, I knew better invite people to my dorm, regardless of who they were.

Shaking my head quickly, my eyes widened and I held up my hands. "N-no! They probably have the wrong room"

He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Just fucking answer it"

Letting out a small eep, I nodded and made my way to the door. Opening it slowly, my heart dropped into my stomach as I realized who it was.

(Itachi's POV)

"Hello moon princess, sorry to drop in unexpectedly like this. I used my status as a teacher to find out where you were living" Glancing into the living room, I noticed Sasuke seated on the couch and glaring my way. "I figured I would see the two of you together" I closed my eyes, smiling to him.

"W-why are you here?"

"Ah, my apologies. I needed to speak with you on something, it's of the upmost importance. May I come in?"

Sasuke growled, moving to the doorway next to Luna and his eyes narrowed at me. I could smell the fear oozing from Luna's pores and gave Sasuke a knowing look.

He looked back to Luna, who was watching him. She searched for approval from him and I narrowed my eyes.

'That's...odd. Why would she wait for his approval?'

"Fine, come in"

As he stalked back some, Luna moved to the side for me to enter.

"P-please, come in" She offered a weary smile to me as she stepped to the side and I felt a frown etch its way onto my face.

As my foot crossed the threshold, it was hard not to notice the tense atmosphere bogging down the room. Sasuke was fuming while Luna was...trembling? 'I have a feeling I might have made a mistake showing up unannounced'

"What do you want?" My brother interrogated, venom seeping through his words and I grimaced before clearing my throat.

"I came by to ask Luna how she would feel about personally tutoring under me. Not only do I want her to do well in my class, but I'd like to help ensure she gets a good grade on her final" I turned to the female, smiling softly. "Obviously I wouldn't be giving you an easy 'A' in my class, but there's no harm in some one-on-one tutoring"

"Exams aren't for another couple of months!"

Luna's gaze faltered and she looked at the ground, picking at the hem of her shirt causing me to look back to my brother.

"Who the fuck do you think you are just barging into my girlfriends house?" Sasuke yelled at the top of his lungs as he walked towards me, his fangs poking out as a warning.

"Now brother please, let's be civil. You wouldn't want me to take that ring off your finger, now would you?" Even though I said it with a teasing tone, I meant it wholeheartedly.

His nostrils flared and his fangs grew even more. "You wouldn't dare!"

I frowned as I watched my brother. 'I didn't want to come to this conclusion but it's literally screaming at me in my face. It's Sasuke...'

"What's the harm in me tutoring her? It's not normal for a boyfriend to be so overprotective of his girlfriend. I would think you're jealous little brother"

A surprised expression flashed across Sasuke's features for a moment as I looked to Luna and instantly regretted saying what I had. She looked like she was on the verge of breaking down and I felt a pang in my unbeating heart, something I hadn't felt in a while.

"Fine" Sasuke finally said, his fangs still protruding and I had to refrain from doing the same. The only reason I had remained so civil was because Luna was there. If she wasn't, then it would've been a different story completely.

"Very good, brother. Luna, I shall see you after class" I smiled to her as I waved goodbye, exiting her dorm and heading back to my own home.

'I feel as if I have made a horrible mistake on Luna's behalf...'

(Luna's POV)

As soon as Itachi had left, Sasuke slammed me against the front door. A whimper of pain slipped from my mouth as I watched him, scared of what would happen next.

"You better not get any fucking ideas blood bag"

"I-I wo-on't Sasuke" I gasped, grabbing the hand that was wrapped around my throat.

"I swear to fucking god if you tell him anything, I will make you wish I had killed you" He let my neck go and I fell to the floor, coughing and holding where his hand had just been.
