I couldn't stand how Joshua just sat there right next to me, and didn't care to speak to me. He was answering questions from the teacher, and not the girl who tripped over his pile of books before class.
"Are you okay, Joshua?" " You seem nervous..."
" Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little on the down side today because of what happened before..."
I decided to not ask him about why he became upset and kept my blabber mouth zipped together. I was so tempted to talk to Joshua, but words wouldn't move off of my tongue. It seemed someone glued the words to my tongue with Krazy Glue, and it could never be removed. Thank god my big mouth stayed shut for the rest of the period, until the end of class was approaching.
As I jogged strait for the door, I felt a huge tug on my jacket. It was Joshua, asking if he could have my number again, because he lost his phone. My mind was racing with thoughts about "C+J" in a heart and everyone admiring us as a couple. I knew it would never happen, but it was a simple thought that seemed so true in my mind. I am not so sure if it's Joshua's thought also, but I'm hoping he is thinking about us together.
