Song: Control by Halsey

Scarlett's POV:

In the following weeks, Meagan stayed with us until Sam was able to come home. He had been gone on a business trip and hated the fact that he had missed the whole birthing experience. I was happy for her when he got back but was a little sad knowing that they would be leaving. I loved spending all the time I could with Rylan.

I have a job to do and need to finish getting ready to get out of here however Meagan comes up to me in tears. "What's wrong?" I ask her...because she seems to always be crying about something.

"It's Rylan...all he does is cry...he has been crying for the past hour and refuses to stop."

"So call Dr. Stevens...he can come here to look at him. I have to be going before I am late."

"Are you ever going to quit, Scar...do you enjoy the job that much?" Seriously...she has to ask me that, god she sounds so much like her brother.

"It's all I know Meagan...it's just a job."

"I know but..."

"But nothing...now...here is Dr. Stevens number...call him." I hand her his card with attitude because she is going to have to freaking grow up and do things on her own for once, and I walk out the door.

I am already behind schedule. We pull up to the house. Atticus and I get out and walk in. The lights are all on and there is music blaring from one of the rooms. We go through the house searching for the dead bodies. He goes to the right; I go to the left. Whoever did the job did one hell of a job. Mekhi would have had one perfect hole to the head...this guy shot the guy over five times right in the chest. Blood is splattered all over the room. I mean all over...walls, furniture, the freaking ceiling. This job will take the rest of the night to clean.

We bag the body and load him in the back of the truck and then go back into the house. He finds the wife...or girlfriend...whoever the hell she is laying on the bed completely naked. Not sure if the guy done this or whoever killed the guy but her throat is slit from ear to ear and a pool of blood soaks the bed underneath her.

Atticus helps place her in a bag and then we start cleaning. By the time the sun is coming up the house is almost spotless. We are still upstairs when we hear a door shut. I look over at him and he looks back at me shrugging his shoulders. Whoever it is...is singing. I creep down the stairs to see who it is and it looks like it is the maid. I walk back up to Atticus. "It's the maid...I thought they said no one would be around for days. What the hell?"

"Do you want me to finish her off?"

"No...I will tell her that I am a family friend....just visiting. I will be right back alright."He knows just as well as I do that we leave no one behind. I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. She is standing by the sink cleaning up the few left over dishes. When she sees me she nearly jumps out of her skin. "Hi...sorry to startle you but The Avery's didn't tell me that you would be here today. I stayed over last night."

She turns to me, drying off her hands on her apron, still breathing hard from my sudden appearance. "Oh...I'm sorry they didn't tell me anyone was staying. I'm Lucy the maid. It's nice to meet you..."

"Oh...I'm Alyiah." I reach over and shake her hand.

"Can I get you anything? I mean I don't normally cook or anything like that but if you want me to I can." She says with a rather shaky voice and I hear the nervousness in it.

I try to smile politely back. "Really...actually that would be very nice of you."

She turns and walks to the fridge to open it up to see what they have to cook. I slid the knife out of the holder on the counter and walk up behind her. I reach out wrapping my arm around her. The moment she gasps I pull her in closer to me and slice her throat. I hold on to her body till she sinks to the floor; the whole way down she is making this gurgling sound. Blood spills out like a freaking fountain. "I'm sorry Lucy...I can't let you live."
