Broken Hearts And Dreams

Chapter 1

"Aera-ya, let's go." Wonwoo called for his daughter softly.

"No!" She whined and rolled over to the other side of her bed, covering her face with a pillow.

"Come on young lady, your dad must be waiting for you."

"Please, papa, I really don't wanna go. Can't you just tell dad I'm sick or something? It's not like dad ever do anything with me. Yeah, I would be at dad's house, but I'll only lock myself in my room, only coming out when dad calls me to eat. Please papa." She used her puppy-face against him which she got from Mingyu.

"Aera, please don't do that. Besides, if I tell your dad you're sick, he would freak out, wouldn't he? He would be all over you, asking if you're okay and need anything, he would beg me to bring you home so he could take care of you, and he-"

"Okay. Fine papa, you win. I'll go," She sighed and sat up. "I'm only doing this cause I love you."

Wonwoo smiled softly,"I love you too, honey." He kissed her forhead and left her room.

Aera let out another sighed as she made her way to her closet. Spending her weekends at her dad's was a must, according to her papa, but she didn't see why needed to be there when her dad was just going to be with his husband. Packing up all of her stuff she needed for the weekend, she exited her room and went to her papa.

"Are you done?" Wonwoo smiled upon seeing his daughter.

Aera nodded and hugged him, "I'll be back on Monday papa, I love you," she said as the driver took her stuff to the car.

"I love you too honey, take care and don't forget to text me when you arrive." He waved her goodbye as she entered the car.

Watching the car made its way outside his property, Wonwoo sighed as he came into his room and sat down on the bed. His eyes stopped at his picture of him and Mingyu on the table next to his bed. He took it and tears fell. This would happen everytime Aera spend her weekends at her dad's, crying to himself, blaming no one but himself because he wasn't a good spouse to Mingyu and failed as a father to Aera, failing at giving her the life she always hoped for. Eversince he seperated with Mingyu, never once did he hated Mingyu eventhough it was Mingyu's fault, he loved Mingyu too much.
