Aera sighed again as she rejected another call from her dad. She couldn't talk nor could she face him after her outburst. She was still mad at him. She threw her phone on her bed and went downstairs to search for food.

"Aera?" Wonwoo peeked into the kitchen to see his daughter stuffing cookies into her mouth.

"Yes, papa?" She finally managed to answer after having difficulties to swallow down the cookies, almost choking.

"Dad just called me. He is worried because you're not picking up his calls. He said that he is sorry and he wants to meet you so he could talk to you."

Aera rolled her eyes mentally, "Why would he be worried about me?" Her voice was full of hatred, and it broke Wonwoo's heart.

"Aera, please. He's your dad. You can't be like this forever."

"Oh yes I can, papa. Can't you see it? Dad is playing with your mind, papa. Dad is manipulating your mind. Dad made a very huge mistake and yet, you still forgive him. Shouldn't you hate him? Blame him for everything? Why don't you do that when he ruined your life papa?" Aera let out tears.

"Princess..." Wonwoo hugged her, rubbing her back as a comfort. "Sometimes things happen. And we have to let them be. We can't hold onto the past, honey. Because if we do, we would miss out on our present. Why don't you try to forgive your dad, hmmm?"

Aera was silent, tears falling freely from her eyes. Wonwoo broke the hug and kissed the crown of her head. He led her to the sofa and she leaned into her papa's shoulder. Wonwoo smiled when he realised that his princess was asleep. He carried her to her bedroom and tucked her into her bed. He kissed her forhead before leaving.

As he reached his room, he received a call from Mingyu.

"Hello?" Mingyu greeted and it still made Wonwoo's heart flip in happiness. "How is Aera?"

"She's fine. She just fell asleep." Wonwoo answered, biting his bottom lip.

"Oh, okay then." Mingyu hung up. Wonwoo's heart dropped to his feet.

The next morning, Aera woke up feeling like every bones in her body started cracking. She sat up, slowly stretching and got out of her bed. She tied her hair and headed downstairs into the kitchen to find her papa eating breakfast.

"Good morning, princess. How are you feeling?" Wonwoo asked as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Like shit." She yawned and took a sit in front of him.

"Language, young lady."

Aera rolled her eyes and ignore her papa, eating her already prepared breakfast.

"Oh yeah, honey. I forgot to tell you something," Aera turned her attention to him. "Dad said that tomorrow night he's going to bring you out for dinner."

"Why?"

"He said that he has something important to tell you."

That afternoon, Aera was in her bedroom, playing with her phone. She was home alone because her papa was at work. Feeling bored and lonely, she decided to invite her bestfriends over.

20 minutes later, a very loud and obnoxious knocks were heard.

"We're here~," Seungkwan sang. "And we brought food!"

"Are trying to break the door or what?" Aera questioned, feeling annoyed, as she opened the door for them.

Seungkwan and Hansol invited themselves inside, shoving the snacks to Aera. Aera went to the kitchen to prepare the snacks they brought.

"Aera! Why is your room like this?" She heard Seungkwan shouting from her room.

"It's always been like that. Chill, Seungkwan." She answered as she took the snacks into her room.

She entered her room to see the two of them on her bed, and her things that were on her bed on the floor.

"Jerks," she muttered under her breath. "Here you go, losers." She handed the food to them.

"So, why'd you call us over?" Hansol asked, eating the chips.

"The thing is dad invited me to have dinner tomorrow,"

"At his house?" Seungkwan questioned, eyebrow raised.

"Nope, he's bringing me out."

"And? What's wrong with that?"

"I just... don't wanna go. I feel like I'm gonna mess up if I go." She sat on the floor.

"What do you mean?" Hansol took a seat beside her, feeling concerned about his cousin.

"Uhmm... I'm worried that I will hurt him more if I see him. I want to forgive him but I just can't. I'm afraid he will give up on me if I continue this thing. What if he's tired of waiting for me to forgive him? What if he thinks I'm being a bitch? I could've just forgive him but here I am being a bitch. Like, it didn't even happen to me." Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Oh, Aera," Seungkwan engulfed her into a hug. "I didn't know you were this worried about that. I'm glad you told us what's in your mind. Okay, first of all, you're not a bitch. And second, you're his daughter, shouldn't you be affected as well? You have every rights to be mad at him. But you can try to forgive him. I know you can, you're Kim Aera. You have a kind heart. Just go to the dinner. I'm sure he'll be happy once he sees you there."

Hansol joined the hug and soothe her back.

"I'm happy I have you guys as my bestfriends. Thank you for being with me." She said as she broke off the hug.

"Anything for our princess," Hansol replied as he wiped the tear from her face.
