Wishful Thinking

Is it a Date?

My alarm goes off at about 5 but instead of heading straight to the school I make breakfast. And when the clock strikes 6:20 I wake Maddy up and tell her breakfasts done, she walks downstairs and I wake up my 2 year old Valentine. I pick her up and put her in her high chair. I put her breakfast in front of her and let her eat.

As Maddy eats I start getting Maddy and Valentines clothes around. I join the girls for breakfast.

By time were all finished it's about 6:35
And I start brushing the girls hair.

"Ew, I feel responsible" I say to my daughters as I fix my glasses back to my eyes and straighten my tie as I get Valentine ready and wait for Maddy to do the same.

I comb my hair and get into my car and Maddy buckles up Valentine. I drive to the daycare first and then the elementary school, I hand Maddy her lunch as she walks into the schools doors.

Once I finally get to the school I finally get to meet the new employee...the girl I met a week ago. I smirk a little "Miss. Landoes, huh?" I say reading her lanyard...

Jasmine Landoes...so that's your name? I smile and she replies with "Oui" I never learned french but I understood some words

I give her my hand to shake "Victor 'Zayden' Lee" I smile sheepishly "I'm called Zaydrn for the most part." I give her soft smile

"I don't mean any disrespect, but damn are you hot."

I hear my sister snicker at me from afar, but I ignore her and wait for Jasmine to respond.

Her face went a shade of red and smiled before saying "thank you"

"Well at least I can make a girl blush" I flirtatiously trace my finger on her shoulders until I notice she looked familiar and I immediately stop

She looks at me and I look back at her as I move a little bit back "...I know you"
She looks at me quizzically I look at her once more "how do I know you?"

She gains a puzzled look "we met just a week ago."  I shake my head "I know you from farther then that."

I just leave and think for a moment and question where I know Jasmine from
"Where would I remember an insanely attractive woman from?" I ask myself but...Nessa hears

"Oohlala, is Victor in love"
I look at Vanessa and just glare "no. I just find her attractive."

Vanessa throws herself against the wall "I cant help if I'm in love!"

I roll my eyes "You only see Gerald like once a year!"

Vanessa looks at me upset "okay, what's bothering you?"

I sighed "nothing. Its nothing."

"Its something" Nessa tells me

I look at her "you mentioned love, but I dont want to love anyone but my daughters, the last time I loved someone, she died right in my arms" I said as I grabbed onto a desk trying to avoid crying in front of my sister

She looks at me "shes gone Victor! It's been 2 years! You can't keep feeling like this! You still wear your wedding ring!"

I immediately turn around "and I will continue wearing my wedding ring until the day I die!" I shout at Vanessa

I sigh "sorry"
