It's not love at first sight
looking at the stars during the night
talking for hours as time fly
or finding that twinkle in their eye
it's not just a date nor was it fate
love is finding yourself
sometimes it's the missing pieces that were left up on the shelf
looking towards the universe
just to find that it was you who you needed to put first
Sometimes it can be magic then turn tragic
maybe there is love out there
that doesn't mean to go out bare
just be prepared
have a shield or a cage
to hide from the pain of what you're about to engage
it's not easy and there's no one to blame
love is not a game
don't throw darts at ones heart
just be prepared for what you're about to embark
pick up your head don't just lay there in bed
be the reason you smile out to a mile
show that you care don't just do it cause it's a dare
take time to get to know you
show your admiration and how this is true dedication
no one gave us a guide nor stood by our side
nor did anyone say this was a test so do your best
yes there maybe times of stress so be ready to unload what's on your chest
only those who stay true
can understand what there is to do
