My eyes shot open with a loud gasp escaping my lips. Pain seeps through my neck and I immediately bring my fingers behind my neck to try and soothe the pain. Hushed cries flow to my ears and I turn my head to the side, finding Hayley uncontrollably sobbing next to me.
"What happened?" I ask her, looking at my surroundings. I'm still located at the church, only this time it was empty and there was no sight of Klaus or any of the witches. Last thing I remember was Hayley preparing for birth before I blacked out...
"H-how are you alive? I saw one of the witches snap your neck." Hayley chokes out and I start to take a notice of her appearance. Dried blood was covering her entire neck and her eyes were very red and puffy. "Are you in transition?" she asks once more.
I show her my hand which contains my Gilbert ring. "No, I'm still human. This ring prevents me from dying supernaturally." I reply, getting off of the table I was currently sitting on.
"What happened to you... your neck. And where's Klaus?" I question and when she takes her body off of the table, I noticed her baby bump has vanished. "And my baby..."
Hayley brings her hand to her neck, closing her eyes for a few seconds before answering. "That psychotic bitch Monique killed me and I think the blood of your child put me in transition... as for Klaus and your baby, I have no idea where they went. Monique was going off about some sacrifice."
Old memories flood in from when Tyler kidnapped the two of us to test his theory on hybrids with the blood of my child's. My only guess is that Hayley is now becoming a hybrid.
"Okay, Hayley, we'll get through this. Right now, we have to find Klaus and the baby and I think I know where they are."

When the two of us reached the cemetery, it seemed to be longer and more stretched out than usually. I tend to find myself looping in the same corner and it never ended.
Every tomb we've entered seemed to be empty and there were no sounds nearby besides the rustling leaves beneath our feet.
However, that feeling in my gut never went away and it led me closer to my child and it slowly helped us out of this maze.
"Where are we supposed to go? This place is freakier than usual." Hayley huffs, shoving her arms across her chest. "Relax, Hayley. I know where I'm going."
"This better be that bond with your baby otherwise we're screwed, and lost." she says and I roll my eyes, taking another right turn. Hayley comes to a halt and stops us from taking a step forward.
She points to her ears, indicating that I should listen. I hear voices from one of the tombs. We come closer to a hearing distant so we know exactly what we're walking into.
"I've failed her, Elijah." Klaus' accent rings through my ears and I frown a bit, shaking my head to myself. He really thinks that?
"Do not blame this upon yourself, Niklaus. Her death was beyond your control."
"I-I cannot do this without her. We were supposed to do this together. I can't fathom the idea of doing this alone, brother. I love-loved her."
"You're not alone." My voice enters the tomb, Hayley following after me. Both eyes of the Mikaelson brothers stare at us in shock, neither of them moving a muscle.
"H-how?" Klaus stands up and rushes to me. He cups my face, his eyes scanning me and I can only assume he's making sure he's not hallucinating.
I stare at him once more, noticing his red puffy eyes. The dried tear stains that clouded his entire cheeks and the more tears that fall from his eyes at the sight of me. I couldn't help but cry as well, feeling all these emotions overwhelm me.
