--A few days later--
--Readers pov--"Hey (Y/n) I got you something." Henry smiled his hands behind his back. "Oh is that so?" I smiled back up at him, ignoring the other kids staring at us as they walked to class. "Close your eyes." He smirked stepping a little closer towards me. "I trust you." I glared playfully closing my eyes a moment later, the feeling of something similar to Henry's leather jacket being draped over my shoulders. "Open your eyes." Henry chuckled joyfully. "Oh Henry." I giggled finding he had draped a pink leather jacket across my shoulders. "You like it?" He asked biting his bottom lip a little, his eyes looking a bit nervous. "I love it." I smiled slipping my arms into the sleeves, hugging him with a small giggle. "There's an eagle on the back." Henry mumbled pointing at the our reflection on the glass of the school's trophy case. "Even better." I smiled pecking his cheek. "I'm glad you like it." He smiled pulling me into his chest. "Do I wanna know where you got it?" I asked only partly joking. "Probably not." He chuckled making me roll my eyes, yet I couldn't wash away my smile. "So you wanna go to that little diner of yours, and share a root beer float after school?" Henry asked taking ahold of my hand, walking me to our shared class. "Sounds nice." I smiled my heart practically skipping a beat.
--Time skip--
"I'm surprised Belch and Victor are never around when we're together." I thought aloud allowing Henry to play with my hands. "You shouldn't be, I warned them to stay away when we're together." He chuckled linking our hands together. "Why?" I asked with a small laugh. "Because I want you all to myself." Henry smirked leaning forward to take a sip of our root beer float with me. "Such a charmer." I giggled shooting him a quick wink. "What do you say we go to the movies tonight?" Henry asked smiling as his thumbs gently stroked the sides of my hands. "What do you wanna see?" I hummed knowing I'd agree to just about anything. "What about Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man?" He smirked as if I was supposed to be scared of the film. "Perfect I love Frankenstein!" I bounced in my seat a little, excited to see a new horror film.
"I'll pick you up at five." Henry smiled kissing my forehead. "Okay oh and you can just knock on the front door, my folks won't be back till late." I added before walking up the sidewalk to my house. "I'll see you soon babe." He called out smiling like an absolute dope, his nickname making butterfly's burst in my belly.
"Nice jacket." Henry smirked as I walked out onto my porch. "Thanks." I smiled leaning into his side as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "I think I still like mine on you more." He chuckled kissing the side of my head. "Me too." I smirked up at him. "Hey if you get scared just hide yourself in my side, I'll keep you safe." Henry smirked at me. "Oh the same goes for you hun." I giggled bumping his hip with mine, my comment making him roll his eyes with a faint grin.
