3 - sigh

Hyun Jae let out a heavy sigh and rested her head on the boy's shoulder. "You gonna tell him or not?" Felix asked out of nowhere. 

"Lix, he has a girlfriend, I literally can't. Even if I did, he doesn't like me because he's with Chaeyoung." Hyun Jae sighed again, pouting. 

"Sup!" Jisung smiled as the 7 boys came and sat around the two already sat. "What was happening by the lockers?"

"Jae, Chan, Jung Hyuk and the bitch." Felix shrugged, "Jung Hyuk was being a dick and the bitch was being her usual self, a bitch."

"A fight?"

"Pretty much." Felix sighed.

"Noona~ Just tell Hyung already!" Jeongin whined. 

"W-what?" she asked, sitting up straight and glaring at Felix, who mouthed 'what the fuck, Jeongin?' at him. Jeongin's lips formed an 'O' before apologising. "Lix, you told them?"

"No, they figured it out..." he denied and looked at the girl who was eyeing him expectantly, "and then I confirmed..." he mumbled.

"Felix, I swear to God, I to- ah forget it, it's not like Chan likes me anyway..." she sighed again.

"Jae, wanna hang out after school then?" Hyunjin asked. "We'll go to get coffee then we can go to the park."

"Sure..." she smiled, "Let's play a game. Would you rather!" 

"Ok." they all smiled, knowing she didn't want to talk about him. They understood of course, liking your best friend was bad enough but him having a bitchy girlfriend and him flirting with you all the time made them all feel sorry for her. She was strong though, she never showed how much it hurt though one time Felix heard her crying in the middle of the night the Chan asked Chaeyoung out, she told him everything.

*time skip to class*

Hyun Jae was walking to class when Chan ran up to her. "English now, right?" he asked.

"Yup!" she smiled. "I can't believe we still have to to take that class, we're already fluent so what's the point? They should have just given us a free period." she sighed and he nodded as they walked into the classroom, immediately taking the seats right at the back. 

The teacher came in a few minutes later, did the register and set everyone work for the rest of the lesson. Chan and Hyun Jae finished in like 3 seconds and just started talking. 

"So, you and Chaeyoung, huh? How are things?" she asked, regretting it straight after it left her mouth.

"Yeah, I mean, it's ok... I was sat with her last week and she fell asleep. She kept getting texts from a guy so I checked them but she woke up so I didn't see who." he sighed, "She wouldn't cheat, would she?" he asked.

"Honestly?" Hyun Jae asked, sitting up straight.

"Yeah." he said but his eyes showed otherwise.

"I think she would, no offence, she has this vibe, you know?" Hyun Jae sighed, "She's really mean to me and Felix even though she knows that me and you are just best friends, nothing more. I don't get her problem..." she sighed.

"You're just saying that because you don't like her." Chan said, covering his mouth after he said it. She had to admit, it killed Hyun Jae to hear him say that; how could he be so in love with such a horrible person? She shrugged it off and looked at Chan in the eyes.

"Maybe I am, but I wouldn't say anything to make my best friend upset. I'm just telling you what I think, Chan-ah. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but I would rather make you a little upset by telling you the truth rather than lying and hurting your feelings even more later on." she shrugged. "All I'm saying is to keep watch." she sighed and patted his shoulder as he nodded. Whenever she called him Chan, he knew she was being serious. 

Neither of them took offence of what they said since they both knew she would never lie just to make him happy; he was actually glad that she told him what she actually thought, in fact, he admired that about her deeply.

"Jae?" he asked.

"Yeah?"

"You would tell me if you liked someone right?" he asked, playing with his ring.

"Ye-um, yeah... but the person I like doesn't like me back so what's the point?" she sighed.

"How do you know?" he asked.

"He just doesn't. He loves someone that's not me." she sighed sadly.
