I decided to start reading the romance novel I started the other night. It was about these two lovers who found love at first sight. I always wanted that kind of love. The kind that's in the movies and books that everyone dreams about. Considering I had nothing really going for me, I didn't know when I'd be able to leave the house to actually meet a guy, let alone another human being in general.

I want to go to college when I graduate, I just wasn't sure what for. I don't have experience with anything besides horses, really. It's frustrating to be stuck someplace with no other place to go. I want to make something out of myself and not have to rely on anyone.

Once I came to a stopping point in my book, I looked out the window to see a gloomy sky. It looked like it'd rain any minute now. As I was looking out the window, I noticed three black SUV's. When I say black, I mean all black. The cars looked all the same.

No one was in them, so I guessed that the guest Mike was talking about came today. I becamse quite curious and wanted to go see who was here. I looked in the mirror, putting my hair down and putting a spray of perfume on. I wanted to impress who ever was here. I mean I haven't met anyone new since my parent's died.

Once I was finished cleaning up, I walked to the stairs. The stairs lead right to the livingroom which was right by Mike's office. Seeing his door cracked open, I slightly peeked inside to see who was there.

I've never seen Mike's office. It was always shut and locked, even when he was in there. I noticed that Mike's office was huge. It was about the size of my bedroom, if not bigger. However, it looked quite small with the eight men, not including Mike, huddled in the room. I stepped back and leaned on the wall so no one would see me even though they were all facing Mike. I know I shouldn't have, but I wanted to eavesdrop.

"So when shall we tell her, boys?" That was Mike, I knew that for sure.

"As soon as possible. I want to claim her already before the fight starts," one responded.

"You have to understand that I haven't raised her in this world. This is all new to her,"

"Well, Mike, you have to understand that I can't wait any longer. They will be attacking within the next week," the same man who responded before said.

"Yes, you're very right. We will tell her at dinner. Alright boys, let's go outside so I can show you my territory," Mike said. I looked in again to see him standing up. I raced back, crossing the livingroom to get to the stairs. I was halfway up the stairs when I heard Mike's door shut and locked. I heard feet shuffling and the front door open and closed. I walked into my room to look out my window, which gave me the view of our backyard. I saw Mike and the eight men walking towards the woods. The men were dressed to intimidate. They all were huge and very built. The one looked more dressed up than the other, though. He had a buzz cut and his shoulders seemed to always be squared. Once I lost sight of them, I backed away from the window.

What could they have possibly have been talking about? Tell who about what at dinner? And who was getting attacked?

I guess I'll just have to wait for dinner to find out.

On the side is a picture of what I think Clair's house looks like. I picture it being surrounded by tons of woods and looking very old, yet European. Hope you enjoy! xox
