It was a beautiful and bright morning for two guys named Kyle and Brock who happened to live in the same apartment because they have been friends grade school. They were having their morning breakfast with coffee and were still trying wake up.

"I wonder if anything good will happen today at work." Brock says sipping his coffee

"Maybe or maybe not. I just those assholes named Luke and Jonathan cause us to lose customers because of their drunk fighting out on the streets. I honestly feel bad for Shannon and Brian, they must have been forced to be with those assholes." Kyle says eating his breakfast

You see Kyle and Brock had been on love with the two cuties named  Shannon and Brian since. To be honest they all were friends until Luke and Jonathan pulled the two away from Brock and Kyle. And now they were all out of High school. The two males helped a elder Woman with running the local plant shop and a few stories down, Shannon and Brian worked at a little cafe at the corner and they would walk by and see their crushes working hard to bring home money while their asshole boyfriends drink until they get drunk and start fights with people.

"Come on, Ms. Alice is on vacation and we got to open up shop early today." Brock says

"I'm so happy that she can finally take it easy for a few days since she has been having trouble with her feet. I'm glad she gave us this job." Kyle says

The two guys head off to their workplace and they walked past the little cafe seeing Both Shannon and Brian struggling to keep up with orders.

Earlier 

Shannon and Brian POV: 

The female and male were trying to be as quiet as they could in their apartment, not wanting to wake up their drunk lovers Jonathan and Luke. They didn't want to wake them up because if they did it would only be more trouble for them, and they didn't want any more considering the little scuffle they got into last night, which lead to both Shannon and Brian getting black eyes from their abusive lovers.

The two of them got ready for work at the little cafe they worked at. The two left the shared apartment, sighing as they wished they had the money to move elsewhere but they didn't because their lovers would take their hard earned money and spend it on themselves or the alcohol they drank while sitting around and doing nothing.

The two made it to work and almost instantly they were beginning to get swamped with orders from customers in the cafe. It was almost too much for the two.

The two friends worked their tails off as Kyle and Brock had walked back by the place feeling bad for their crushes.

"I swear I wish there was a way to help them with their Boyfriends." Kyle says

"But we can't do nothing because you know damn well that if we even try to help them, their abusive boyfriends would hurt them when no one was around." Brock says

Brock unlocks the door and turns everything on in the shop. They both started to getting everything ready for the day. As Brock was in the back getting things he noticed two potted plants that almost look like they were both dying and they were on the table in the back that he had never noticed before and wondered if Kyle knew about these. Brock heads back to the front where Kyle who was getting things ready up front.

"Do you know about the two almost dead plants in the very back of the store where the potting soil and other garden stuff is?" Brock asked

Kyle gives Brock a confused look on his face and replies "Uhh no, why did you ask? I mean I would have been told by Mr. Alice if had any new plants or not and she hasn't told me anything something in back."
