Chapter 19

I grabbed my shoes and put them on. I decided that I would go for a walk to get my mind off of things. I walked outside and started walking down the street.
I was looking at all of the trees on the distance as I walked. I kept walking for s while, until I was pretty far down the street. I turned around and started walking the other way back to Mike's house until I came to a three way turn.
I completely forgot which way I went and now that I think about it, I don't even remember passing this place, but that was probably because I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.
I started to panic because I didn't know which way to go to get back to the house. Then, I remember that I could use Google maps.
I pulled out my phone and went to Google maps. I put in the street that I was at as the starting point and Mike's house as the end point.
I made it so that the directions were walking directions and started walking to where it told me to go.
I eventually made it back to the house and went inside. I went I to the living room and saw Mike on the couch with his head in his hands.
I heard sniffling noises that were coming from him.
"Mike?" I whisper. He looked up at me. You could tell that he had been crying by the tear stains on his cheeks and how red his eyes were.
"Where were you?" He choked.
"I couldn't fall asleep, so I decided to take a walk just to clear my mind." I said.
"I thought you were gone." He said, hugging me.
"Well, I'm not. I'm here right now." I said, hugging him back.
"Please, don't ever do this again." He pleaded.
"I won't." I said.
"I love you." He whispered, barely loud enough for me to hear.
"I love you, too." I whispered. We pulled away from the hug and I sat down and took my shoes off. We went back into his room and layed back down.
He held onto me like I was going to leave again and he was trying to prevent it. Shortly after he fell asleep, I fell asleep in his arms.

I woke up to he sunlight shining through the window on Mike's room. I opened my eyes and looked around. Mike was still asleep with his arm partly over me.
I quietly got up and walked out onto the hallway. I heard someone talking in the living room, so I went to see who it was.
I walked into the living room and Kevin was sitting on the couch, talking to his camera.
"Hey what's up guys! It's your favorite dad, Kevin..." he yelled.
"Aka, Sugar K." I said with him. He looked up and me with wide eyes.
"Holy shit, Adrian. You scared me." He breathed. I laughed and sat down on the couch, just out of view of the camera.
"So, today, I'm going to be answering some questions and assumptions you have about me and my friends." He said to the camera.
I got up off the couch and went into the kitchen to get something to eat. I opened the fridge and grabbed a carton of eggs out and put it on the counter.
"Dad!" I called.
"What?" He asked.
"Do you want some scrambled eggs?" I asked.
"Sure.?" He replied.
"Yeah." I said. I grabbed the stuff that I would need and started cooking.
After a little, the eggs were done and I took a plate to Kevin. I grabbed a plate and sat down with him.
We talked and ate breakfast, then I went to go wake Mike up.
I walked into the room and saw that he was already up. He was sitting on the bed on his phone.
"Finally, you're up." I laughed.
"Oh, hey." He smiled.
"I made scrambled eggs." I said.
"Ok, hold on." He said, standing up. He went over to his closet and grabbed a shirt. He put it on and him and I went out into the kitchen.

"Hey, you wanna go somewhere with me?" I asked Mike.
"Sure, where are we going?" He replied.
"My cousin texted me and asked me if I wanted to hang out." I said.
"Ok, let's go." He smiled. We walked out to his car and left. I told him that she wanted to meet us at Tender Greens.
Before we left, I texted her and made sure that he was ok with me bringing someone else with me.
After a short drive, we arrived at Tender Greens and went inside. I saw my cousin sitting at one of the tables and smiled at her.
"There she is." I said to Mike, pointing at her.
"Ok." He smiled. We walked over and sat down with her.
"So, who's this?" She asked, looking at Mike.
"This is my friend Mike." I replied. "Mike, this is Vanessa."
"Nice to meet you." She smiled.
"So, how have you been? We haven't seen each other in a while." I said.
"I've been good. I actually just moved here to LA a few weeks ago." She replied.
"That's cool." I smiled.
"So, how's school going?" She asked Mike and I.
"Good. Prom is actually in like a week." I answered.
We all talked and hung out for a little until we decided to go back home.
