Dreaming In The Sea

Chapter 6

Recap: I just sit there and look at him shocked at what he just said.
"What do u mean I can't get my legs back?!?!!"

He looks down at his tail and I can just tell that what he is saying is true, I'm not getting my legs back.
"How do you know that I can't get my legs back?" I ask.
"Ally I know that you can't get your legs back because I've tried. It's-.... Ally it's impossible for a human to become a mermaid and then switch back into a human it's just not possible, I'm sorry."
My eyes are swelling up with tears again and I don't know if it because ill never be able to visit my family again or if its because I'm stuck like this forever.
"But James you don't understand I need to see my family again! I can't just get knocked out and then appear on a beach with a tail it's not possible!!!!" I scream. And I can see the pain in his eyes.
"That's what I thought to." He mumbles and he dives back into the ocean leaving me there all alone.
I'm stunned. He just left me here? All alone? What am I supposed to do, swim after him!?
I glance down at my tail, smiling. Actually, that's not a bad idea.
I give a small nod, mostly at myself then i put my arms above my head and dive into the water. i feel kinda rediculous diving into the water like that because in the movies mermaids do it so gracefully, but thats how i learned so thats how ill do it.as soon as I'm in the water my whole body feels like I've been refreshed or something it's great I can't explain the feeling, I feel the sudden urge to swim at full speed and twirl and dance and sing! But as tempting and scary as that is its not my top priority. I need
to find James.
