The school hallways are always freezing cold, the employees never put the heaters on during winter. No, why would they do that when they can just put on the heaters the last week before spring? I shivered and pulled my thick coat tighter around me. Since the school is near a high end area there are a lot of spoiled rich kids here that I've wanted to kill more than once. I rubbed my forehead in irritation, today is just like any other day in hell.

My class is as boring as...I don't know, school? "Hey," a voice called from behind me. Sally. "Why are you always so slow? You're like the uno reverse version of Sonic. Come one! Class is starting soon!" She said and grabbed my arm, dragging me behind her. So two days in row I have gotten dragged, and not in a RuPauls Drag Race way.

Sally pulled me to my seat and pushed me down and then sat down next to me. I took out my backpack and searched for my pencil case. Fuck, I left it at home. Sally tapped me on the shoulder and put a pen in my hand. "Thank you." I said. "Well, I wouldn't be a good best friend if I didn't have an extra pencil or two. The same thing goes for pads and tampons." She spoke so loud that the boy sitting beside her started blushing at the mention of menstrual products. I barely managed to stifle my laughter.

"Yeah, yeah, just sit down on your chair now, you're starting to sound like a Mom." I waved in the air, telling her to sit.

The class went on as usual, boring and frustrating. The bell rang and everyone started packing up theirs things, I gave Sally's pen back to her and we walked towards the exit when the teacher Mrs. Eriksson called my name and did a small whisking motion towards me, urging me to come closer. I groaned and told Sally to wait outside for me and went over to her desk.

"Do you know how close you are to failing this class?" She said and I didn't answer so she continued. "If you fail one more test you are out, you got it?" I nodded and turned around to leave. "Wait! You may leave when I say you can." I sighed and went back to her desk.

She took off her glasses and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Look, I know it might be hard to juggle work and school so I have assigned you a tutor." My eyes widen, I don't have time for after school work as useless as this! "What?! Don't I have to approve before you assign anything to me?" I yelled whilst balling up my fists.

She stood up from her seat. "If you want to have any chance of passing this class you have improve more than anyone can do on their own because if you don't, as I said before, you're out." Her tone was more serious now and she looked just about ready to punch some sense into me but she regained her composure quite quickly and sat down in her chair again. "Now, get to class." I nodded and power walked out the door.

Sally was waiting on me just as she said she would.  I grabbed her arm just as she had done to me this morning and told her what Mrs. Eriksson has said to me. "If she wanted someone to help you she could've just asked me, I'm your best buddy!" She mad big movements with her arms and was close to hitting me several times. "Oh god, don't say 'buddy', you sound like a pervert!" She giggled and fake gasped. "No, I don't! It's a normal expression!" I rolled my eyes. "Oh please, it's a normal expression used by perverts."

Just as she was about to answer a hand gripped my shoulder from behind and swirled me around, a not-so-missed face appeared in front of me. "It's you." The mystery man from yesterday said while starring at me intensely, as he was trying to figure out this confusing situation.

I groaned. "You again? Dude, we had a deal, remember?" How could he find me and why? I gave him the watch back and he said he wouldn't call the cops. I looked at Sally and she looked like she was going to piss her pants, she doesn't know this man so why would she be scared of him?

"Thomas, let's go! You can talk to the chick later but we have to go!" A boy named James that sits next to me in calculus called out. And then it dawned on me, the man from yesterday wasn't here for me at all, he was the infamous Thomas Rogers. The color drained from my face. I'd heard enough rumors about him to make anyone stay away from him. Of all the people in this school why did it have to be him who knows my secret?

I backed away slowly as if I was trying to escape a bear instead of a handsome man but he unfortunately followed. Thomas didn't answer James but continued looking at me until a smirk broke out on his face. "Oh, this is priceless." He said in a low and dark voice, then he dropped his hand from my shoulder and walked back to his friend group who had stood there starring in disbelief the entire time.

When they were gone Sally grabbed my shoulders and shook me. "What the hell, Sabrina! Why didn't you tell me you knew Thomas?!" She was basically shaking in excitement. "Maybe you could hook me up with Dylan?!" Dylan was in the same group as James and Thomas, he also was Sally's crush.

"Hey now, I've only talked to Thomas once so believe me when I say we are not on asking for favors terms." I half lied. "And besides, what do you see in him? He's a player, he's a party animal, he's a douchebag, he's an..." she interrupted my ranting. "Okay! I get it! You think he's bad and all that but you don't know like I do."

"You had one conversation with him in sixth grade." I said in a duh voice. She put her hands on her hips. "And it was a very nice conversation!" I chuckled, always such a goof.

The rest of the school day was painfully long and I kept expecting Thomas and company to jump out like Pennywise at any moment. The guy is bad news, anyone who's met him or heard of him knows that and staying away from him is the best option available.

I picked my stuff out my locker and was just about to close it when another hand did it for me.

Well, speak of the devil and he shall appear.
