MINJU sat down to the seat right next to the boy. "Minju-ah, you look beautiful today," a small smile landed on the brunette's face. "Yeah, she looks great everyday," the compliment slipped out of Chaewon's lips gracefully. The boy confusedly glanced at her.
"Wanna head to the cafe next to Anderson? I heard it was full of delicious baked goods!," the said girl's mouth practically watered at the word of 'baked goods'. "Of course I'd come!," the boy took Minju's hand and dragged her along to the bakery.
A familiar scent wavered around this particular area. Why was it so familiar? "Look!," he pointed towards the sight of heaven. The frog ran towards the food—quite literally—and now she just was embarrassed.
The cafe's bell clashed together, resulting into a beautiful sound. Chaewon was clearly out of it, her eyes seemed too bore into the boy's skull. "Chaewon-unnie!," the bread girl yelled.
Oh right.
This was the cafe Chaewon worked at. "Hey Hitomi," the honey melting girl waved her arms lazily. "I sneaked us some chocolate wafers from the back, c'mon these are a special today," the peach cheeks whined. "Maybe I'll give it a try, but if they ask where it went it was not me!," the fairy chuckled. God, Minju couldn't help but wonder if there was something else between the two.
"I'll get the bakery goods, and you find us a table," the beauty nodded softly. She sat down and started to well—started to stare at Chaewon.
Who is she? Is she just a friend? How dare she lay a finger onto Chaewon's perfectly sculpted li—
"Okay, I got chocolate croissants, a bread roll, a rainbow cake, and two white chocolates," the boy gave the sugary sweets to Minju. "Oh thanks," the frog smiled. Minju just couldn't think straight today, why is that girl touching Chaewon?
The boy continued to eat the delicious treats before Minju could even try one. Even though she'd pout and say 'Hey save one for me' she was far too absorbed with Chaewon to even care about him.
"Earth to Minju? you seem pretty distracted with—oh! with Chaewon. I didn't mean to go between the two of you," he bowed his head.
The conversation was cut short as they were now awkward.
"I'm sorry, can I call this off?," Minju looked up from her lap.
Wasn't he the one the asked me out? Minju thought.
In a few short minutes, the guy had run off too embarrassed to even care about all that chocolate on his face.
Apparently he had been so busy about everything he embarrassed himself.
A small smirk landed onto Chaewon's lips. Minju couldn't be even more confused at the moment. First, a guy asked her out, Second, the boy left her! "Hiya Min! Didn't see you there," a frown was on the frog's face. "I can't believe he left! He really just left!," Minju put her head in her arms. "I can never keep a boy long enough for comfort," she pouted.
"It's alright Min, I looked over and I saw how he was snagging all the food away from you," the fairy whispered the last part. "I—I'm so so sorry about forgetting about today Chaewon-ah. I didn't mean any of this," Minju couldn't help but feel a bit depressed.
"Oh it's alright Min, I'll treat you out today, hm?," the frog nodded very quickly, she was excited—yet nervous.
It was still pretty awkward from the past moments of fights. "How are you?," "You saw me today," Chaewon smiled. "Right,"
"I can't believe Jimin is angry with me," the fairy laid her small hand on her arm. "It's frustrating how he's so insensitive, and can't understand how i'm feeling right now," she ranted.
"Have you told him about your feelings?," Minju placed an arm onto Chaewon's. "Of course I have. He just—he won't listen to me, he even thought about breaking up with me because of it," she mumbled.
"Chaewon,"
"Hm?,"
"You should be able to not be afraid of him. Everytime you speak of him it's sounds like you're afraid, as if he'll scream at you,"
The black haired stayed quiet. "He loves me, I know that. But—but now I really don't know if—,"she carded her fingers through her hair.
God, the frog wanted nothing more then to squeeze Chaewon into a hug, but of course she couldn't.
Minju had never seen Chaewon so worked up before. "You don't love him," the other stayed quiet.
"I've been thinking about everything and—and it's so hard to love someone if—if they're always trying to hold you down from your dreams, right?," Minju nodded.
"I—I don't think i've ever thought of you as a "best friend"," Minju slowly nodded once again.
"I think I do love you, but he was holding me back from you," the frog was shocked. Extremely shocked.
Before the fairy knew it she was engulfed in a big, warm hug. "Do you know how long i've waited for you?," she smiled ear to ear. "You've got no idea," feelings were mutually made between the two.
The two were so happy right now, as if they were surfing on cloud nine. Then realization hit. "How're you gonna tell him?," chaewon hummed. "I'll tell him today,"
"I'm so happy right now," Chaewon chuckled. "I'm so happy," the fairy caressed Minju's face.
Chaewon's phone started to ring fervently. She picked up.
"Jimin, hi," she frowned. "I'm sorry but we aren't right for each other," Minju started to boil as she started to hear loud yelling through the phone.
The black-haired started to tear up. "Stop! I'm sorry but I don't love you like that anymore,"
Minju wanted nothing more than to rip that phone away, but she had self control. "O—Okay," she hung up. "He—He's been cheating on me this whole time," Minju frowned.
Now—Oh now—Minju had a reason to make sure Jimin's life was hell.
Standing up, the frog grabbed the fairies hand and raced out of the cafe. "Wuh—Where are we going?," she asked. "We're gonna go up to him and show him that he should've appreciated you," Chaewon looked at her confused. "And how are we gonna do that?," Minju smirked.
"By showing him what he could've had,"
