Chapter Two

Vanessa's POV

As usual, mom wasn't home when I got home. I went upstairs to my room, dropped my bag and got out of my clothes. I wanted to sleep, luckily I didn't have any homework, but first I needed to put something in my mouth. Putting on a single strap top with shorts, I headed downstairs. I opened the fridge looking for something to devour. Just as I pulled out a tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream,the doorbell rang.

Annoyed, I checked the peep hole. Behold it was my best friend, Alexa. She couldn't even text me that she was coming, what if I wasn't around. As soon as I opened the door she hopped into the house like she owned it.

"What's up?"I asked locking the door, I can't risk my life.

"We're going to a party on friday"she said happily. She was a party freak and made it her duty to drag me to every single one she attended.

"Today's Monday Lex, there's still four days to the party"I told her.

"I'm just giving you a heads up, so you won't complain when I come to take you on Friday"she said walking to the couch.

"Is that ice cream"she asked rheotoritically going to the table.

"Don't you fucking dare"I said trying to make an intimidating face.

"You talking to me?"she asked giving me the are-you-kidding-me before putting a full spoon. I launched at her with a war cry trying to take out my tube off ice cream from her hands.

To cut long story short, the ice cream ended up on the floor. I gave a two minutes of silence to my it.

"You know what? Let's order pizza." Lex suggested and I happily agreed.

"Right, I'll clean this mess up." I said going to the kitchen to get a rag cloth. By the time I was done cleaning up Lex was already on the phone digging into a pack of Skittles. This girl really knew her way round my house.

"Yeah.... Buffalo chicken.... A large one..... Yes, with bacon and cheese toppings..... Alright then...... Okay, that's no problem..... It's Alexa.... Bye"Lex said to the phone then cut it.

"Wanna know the real reason I came over?" She asked me.

"I just knew you had an ulterior motive, why?"

"I wanna know the deal between you and Alec. Why he gave you a thumbs up" oh Lex, always had to come down to boys.

"I wanna go take a dump and when I get back I need everything in details"she said stressing the details as she climb the stairs.

"Don't forget to use the room freshener"I called out to her. I opened my phone and started scrolling through Instagram, just to keep myself busy.

I was about to go upstairs when I heard the doorbell for the second time. Sighing I opened the door and saw the pizza guy.

"An Alexa ordered pizza, I'm not sure this is the right place" the guy said, boy to be precise, he looked 14.

"Ya you're in the right place" I told him and he visibly relaxed.

"It's my first time on the job. Here's your order it's nine dollars by the way" he said handing it over to me. Balancing the pizza on my left hand, I pulled out ten dollar note and payed him.

"Keep the change, thanks" I said and closed the door.

"Alexa pizza's here" I shouted. Before I could say JACK, she flew down the stairs and plucked the pizza box from my hands and went to the couch. I walked to the kitchen to get soda for us.

"Lex what are you taking?, Coke Pepsi or Sprite"I asked her. I took her coke and a sprite for myself. I took a slice of pizza, at least she waited for me.
