A/N: So after careful evaluation of my previous writing I've decided to leave everything as it is because I believe that I can make this work. I only made a few small changes to previous chapters and one big change to the last chapter, so Jungkook doesn't have PTSD anymore because that just would not work. I'm working on my writing too so it can be more organized in future chapters. By the way I understand the concerns about some medical inaccuracy and I assure you that I am trying to do better with that. However, as much as I love you guys' advice, there are some things in here that you're just gonna have to learn to deal with, I still have a plot to develop. Nothing in here is ment to be taken as actual work in medicine, this is just a fictional story, Heh heh. 😅 Anyway I'll stop blabbing now and let you all continue to the story~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*No One's POV*
"So let me get this straight. I trust you four to perform a very simple, routine procedure on a twelve year old girl, that nine times out of ten is successful. You do what you need to do and succeed at the task at hand. However you failed to notice THAT ONE OF THE SCALPELS WAS MISPLACED BEFORE YOU FINISHED!!" The president of the hospital board shouts to Jimin, Jungkook, Hoseok, and Yoongi, banging her fist on her desk.
"We sincerely apologize for the mishap Dr. Lee, there must've been a miscalculation of the scalpel's angle somewhere, we're usually very keen on our instrument placement." Jungkook tried to explain respectfully, but Dr. Lee wasn't having it.
"A misplacement, A MISPLACEMENT, DR. JEON?! REALLY?! Do you have any idea how much trouble we're in right now?! Mr. and Mrs. Go are furious about their daughter and are even threatening a lawsuit against the hospital. This is going to be affecting both you four and the entire hospital as a whole. That MISPLACEMENT is going to be a blight on us all! What do you four have to say for yourselves?! God, I feel like I'm dealing with first year residents, let alone professional surgeons who all graduated med school early!!" Dr. Lee shouts, Causing all four of the surgeons to look to the floor in guilt.
Dr. Lee sighs.
"I expect a full report on my desk by tomorrow. Dr. Jeon, Dr. Min, and Dr. Jung, I'm putting all three of you on probation from the OR for two weeks to practice until you can prove to me that you are capable of paying attention to what you're doing during surgery. Since you want to perform like first year med students I will treat you like first year med students. You all will have to be evaluated by me and myself ONLY, before you are allowed to return to your regular surgical duties. You will still be allowed to administer nonsurgical treatments to your patients during this time period but if you so much as set foot into that operating theater, you will have me to deal with and I do not play nice. Understood?" Dr. Lee explained harshly eyeing at the panicked looking surgeons. Afraid to say anything else, Jungkook, Yoongi, and Hoseok just stared at her with wide eyes and nodded in understandment. Dr. Lee then turned to Jimin.
"As for you Dr. Park, I can't really bench you since you're only an anesthesiologist and did not touch the patient during the operation. However, I would like you to be a little more interactive with your fellow team members. This was a careless mistake that could've been avoided if SOMEONE had pointed out that one of the instrument placements looked off. Even though you are not licensed to perform an operation you can give advice during one. Which is one of the reasons why I'm very disappointed with your performance as well." Dr. Lee scolded.
Now Jimin could've had a lot of reasons to argue with this claim. The main ones being that he had to monitor the patient's vitals during the entire procedure and that it wasn't really his place to meddle in during a complex procedure, especially since he wasn't advanced in such things. However the anesthesiologist was not willing to argue with the head of the hospital board, simply because of the fact that Dr. Lee already wasn't fond of him. Jimin did not want to worsen his relationship with his head of command more than he already had by simply existing.
