One day Jane just had to say
"Jill I dare you to run past the hill,
Do it too Jack, you have to be fast,
I'll do it too, if you want me to."

So they ran up quickly up the hill
Through the fields and past the mill
At the top the saw an old well
It was very old you could tell

But then the dinner bell rang
And their mother's sang
"Come back, dinner's ready,"
And they returned slow and steady

So they ate dinner
Talked about their days
And they thought about the well
And swore they would go back soon
