I couldn't sleep all night long. I was tossing and turning. Every time I closed my eyes the image of my dad popped into my head and I would start crying. The next morning a nurse came in to check on me. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

"I've been better." I said with a sigh. She checked a couple of different things then said," Well, everything looks good. You get to leave today."

Soon enough, Sergeant Lindsay and Officer Sharp were helping me get into normal clothes. Man, these cuts are sore. It hurts to do everything. They took me to my house and helped me gather some clothes, and any essentials I would need. Then we were on our way to the safehouse. The house was a good size and it was way out of the city, in the middle of nowhere. Which I guess is a good thing if you're trying to hide.

They helped me get my stuff inside but as soon as we walked in the door I recognized four very familiar faces sitting on the couch. It was the boys who were whispering in the back of the warehouse. I started freaking out. My heart rate went through the roof. I felt like my throat was closing. I hid behind Sergeant Lindsay and started yelling," No! No! They were there! Why would you bring me here with them?"

She turned around to face me and told me to calm down. She said," They were working for us. They were undercover. They are the ones that got the police to come and raid the warehouse." I tried to calm down, but I felt like I couldn't breathe. She led me to a chair in the living room and told me to sit. She told me to take a deep breath. I did, but it was very shaky. I glanced over at the boys. They all had sympathetic looks on their faces. Why does everyone keep looking at me like that? I hate it! Sergeant Lindsay said," This is Jason, Carter, Theo, and Caleb." As she pointed to each boy. They all waved at me and I sent a small smile back.

Sergeant Lindsay explained to them what happened to me. It was horrible sitting there listening to it, picturing it in my mind, reliving it. But she and I both knew that I couldn't get through the story on my own.

The officers helped me get my stuff, but as we were grabbing it, Jason pulled Sergeant Lindsay aside and quietly said," Where is Kenna? I want to see her! I held up my end of the deal no you hold up yours!" She hushed him and said, " We are working on it, she should be able to come see you in a couple of days." Officer Sharp helped me get my stuff up to my room. Sergeant Lindsay came in a couple of minutes later and said."Now, I need you to understand that this is for safety purposes, but I need your phone. This is so that if they put a tracker on you they won't be able to find you." I handed her my phone without any protest. Then she gave me her card and said," If you ever need anything, call. I don't care if its 3 o'clock in the morning. Please call."

"Thanks." I said.

I got my stuff settled and changed into something comfortable. It was extremely challenging considering I can't raise one of my arms or stretch my stomach. Once I changed, I got in the bed and I just laid there staring at the ceiling.
