The Safe House

Chapter 4

Ugh, he disgusts me. He took me to a different room but it looked the same, cold, dark, gloomy. He brought in two more guys and they tied me to a chair. He got out a knife. My heart rate started to rise. Is he going to kill me? He got close to my face and traced the knife along my cheek as he said," Oh this will be fun."

He made a long cut across the bottom of my stomach. I did my best not to scream, but it hurt worse than any pain I have ever endured. Tears were streaming down my face. I begged him to stop, but he simply smirked in response before he started a second cut from just under my collar bone to the center of my chest. He got interrupted by someone barging through the doors. "Sir we're under attack." He said. The boss was pissed. He grunted then got in my face and said, "This isn't over sweetheart." He kissed me and walked out. I spit at him as he walked away from me.

At first, I had my hopes up. Maybe someone came to save me! Then I realized he's a gang leader, don't gangs have wars between each other all the time? I began trying to think about something other than my wounds that were burning. My dad popped into my head, "No! That will just make you weak." I told myself.

I heard gunshots all around, I tried to get myself free. All of a sudden the gunfire came to a stop. I stopped trying to get free and just listened. I heard footsteps coming to the door. They barged in and it was police officers. I think. My vision got blurry and I got light-headed. Then everything went black.
