Danielle's P.O.V.
*A few days later*
I wake up early on purpose so I wouldn't have to explain everything to Melissa or even see her face. I slowly tip-toe downstairs. The reason why I came back to Beacon Hills aside from Derek was because I wouldn't have to hide anything from my parents and look into their faces everyday. It just felt horrible.
I make my way inside the school building. I enter my class and begin teaching. It was simple, just shading. Then I have to repeat the same exact thing every period.
The final bell rings and I get my papers in my bag preparing to go for a long ride. I roam around the deserted streets feeling the power of the wind hit my body. I don't know how long I have been going over the same streets over and over again. I park my motorcycle in the garage and see the door open. Strange... I hurry upstairs and scurry into Scott's room. I let out a sigh of relief as I see Scott and Melissa sitting on the floor while Melissa is holding her neck. I give Scott a questioning look about what happened. He looks back at Melissa as I take a seat beside Scott.
"Are you okay?" I ask Melissa.
"I don't know what's happening. I don't know what that thing was or even what you both are. What ever he wants just give it to him." Melissa speaks.
"Mom, it's not that easy." Scott informs.
"Do what he wants. Just, give him what he wants."
"I don't know if I can." Scott acknowledged.
I got up not being able to listen to the rest of the conversation with tears threatening to spill right out my eyes if I blinked. The things that I saw yesterday, I couldn't even believe. I just need some space to let everything sink in. Maybe I can spend the night at the Hale house since no one is there.
Before I step in I hear people in the house. I pause and listen.
"You decided, when?" I catch Derek's voice.
"Tonight." Erica responded.
"Everyone's gonna be at the game." Derek said.
"We figured it was the best time." Boyd spoke up.
"It's not like we want to." Erica added.
"What do you want?" Derek questioned.
"Since I turned sixteen a month ago I wouldn't mind getting my license. I can't do that if I'm dead you know." Erica replied.
"Well, I told you there was a price." Derek marked.
"You didn't say it would be like this." Boyd noted.
"Yeah, but I told you how to survive. You do it as a pack. And you're not a pack without an Alpha." Derek put out.
"We know." Boyd said.
"You wanna look for another pack? How are you even gonna find one?" Derek inquired.
"I think we already did." Boyd answered. Wait, there are other werewolves in Beacon Hills?
"All of a sudden we heard all of this howling. It was unbelievable." Erica began explaining.
"Yeah, there must of been a dozen of them." Boyd agreed.
"Maybe more." Erica implied.
"Yeah, or maybe only two. You know what the beau gest effect is? If they modulate the howls by a rapid shift of tone, two wolves can sound like twenty." Derek mocked.
"Look that doesn't matter, okay? There's another pack out there. There's gotta be. We made up our minds." Erica insisted.
"We lost, Derek. It's over. We're leaving." Boyd continued.
