Zak grew anxious as the boat destined closer and closer to the island. It wasn't time to investigate yet, but it was still just as frightening.

-"Zak! Chill!" Aaron laughed as he focused his camera to capture the perfect shot for the future editing of the show.

-"This is my worst fucking nightmare," Zak breathed sharply as he toyed with his fingers, "This water smells worse than a swamp!" Zak said as he covered his nose as if something had died there recently.

-"I know, right? What's that smell?" Aaron asked the translator, who also didn't take a liking to the smell either.

-"In Xochimilcho's history, enemies during the revolution were thrown in here to be disposed. It's said that you can sometimes smell their entities throughout the water, but nobody has touched this water in years." The translator explained.
Chills were sent down Zak and Aaron's spine. Nobody has touched this water to stir up the horrid smell, yet it smelled so fresh, like someone had recently died there and bloated.

-"Oh God." Zak whispered to himself as he laid eyes on one of the many cursed and evil-looking dolls on the island.

-"Dude, this is creepier in person!" Aaron frightfully laughed as he was on Zak's side about turning down this investigation. But it was just dolls! No other things of life on this island!

-"These dolls are gonna fucking take our souls! I don't want to get off this boat!" Zak frightfully laughed as he was inches away from the haunted soil.

oOo

I gasped in a panic from my attempted nap at the sound of men approaching the island. I quickly escaped to my designated hiding spot in case of an emergency - the corner of one of the many shacks spread across the island.
I feared that these men were in search for me, so I wasn't completely focused on finding help at this point until I knew they weren't going to hurt me.

-"Bro, I'm shaking right now!" I heard a man say as he sounded like he was in a panic. I second guessed myself whether I should run for help or run from them.

-"You're okay," Another man laughed, "They're not gonna eat you!" He laughed.
To me, they seemed joyful and playful, but they were men, and I couldn't trust them no matter how happy they were.

-"Dude, it sounds like someone is here." A man said as it sounded as both of them entered the shed I was hiding in.

-"Are you guys okay?" Another man whispered as he too entered the shed. Three men in a shed with a young girl hiding sent chills down my spine. He sounded like a local by his accent, but to me, just as dangerous.

I knew these men were catching on to my presence. But if they were to see me, I was escaping.

-"Hold up! Is that blood on the floor?" A man with a goatee said as he kneeled down to examine the liquid.

-"Is that blood?" Another man asked, sounding freaked out.

-"It looks fresh.." The Mexican man said.

-"Dude, someone has been in here! And they're hurt!" The man with the goatee snorted as he gained his posture quickly. I started to breath heavily from behind the corner of dolls at the sight of a very large and very hairy spider.

I slung the doll from me, revealing myself to three very terrified men.

-"It's a yeti!" The man with the goatee screamed before taking major steps away from me.

I regained my balance before running out of the shed, hearing three sets of boots chasing me.

-"That's one of the missing girls from that wreck!" The Mexican man yelled, "Get her!"

I scrambled through the tall grass, trying to throw the men off as they were chasing me, but I clearly forgot that men were much faster than women. I was caught off my feet from the man who looked more than dangerous. He had black spiked hair with his eyes hidden by sunglasses. His biceps held me like a boa as I struggled to escape his grip.
He held my head to his chest as he tried to get me to calm down as the other two men approached me. I couldn't see their facial features by my thick tears.

-"Shh! Sweetie, you're okay." The man that held me whispered. I didn't trust him. He was a man who was now holding me against my will.

-"What's your name?" The Mexican man demanded.

-"Ana." I stuttered through my jagged breaths.

-"We're gonna take you back with us, okay?" The man with the goatee said as I shook my head in refusal.

-"Please let me go." I cried as the dark and dangerous-looking man actually obeyed my request.

I ran.

-"Don't bother." I heard the Mexican man say. Thank God they were going to leave me alone.

-"We can't just leave her!" The man who held me announced.

Just as I was running, I came closer to the second canal that was in the area. Just as I was about to jump the small portion of water, I tripped on something large. As I turned around to cup my ankle, Macy's dead body was what I had tripped on.

-"Oh God!" I screamed with tears clogging my vision, "Macy!"

-"She sounds hurt, I'm going to go get her." The man with the goatee said.

I clung to Macy's dead and bloated body as it looked nothing like her, but I knew it was as I saw a pair of legs coming towards me in my blurred vision.

He looked rather shocked as I was touching a dead body that he would assume I caused, but he looked as if he was more here for me than my situation.

-"Hey." He whispered as he kneeled down across from me.
I slowly backed away from him.

-"Hey, it's okay. My name is Aaron." He smiled.

I nodded as I didn't want to be in his presence.

-"I'm not going to hurt you." He pleaded as he reached his hand toward me. Out of all three men, I would trust Aaron more.

-"We'll be back for you tonight, okay?"
