The Cure

You guys see the picture that I put for this story. Well, just imagine them switched. Naruto is the giant while Hinata is the small one. I couldn't find one with a small Hinata. So, there hasn't been many Naruhina moments but the next chapter will. Just two more chapters after this and the story will be finished.

Kurenai glanced briefly at Naruto debating whether she should allow him to enter or not. Nobody was a stranger to how Naruto got when someone messed with his friends. Especially Hinata. For the past few months, he had been getting even more protective of her much to Kurenai's happiness. It means that Naruto might like Hinata as more than a friend. 

"Naruto..." Kurenai began with a sigh.

"I'm fine. I can handle it." Naruto cut her off with his usual determined gleam in his eyes as he held a serious expression.

"Be sure that you do, Naruto. Or else, we will receive no answers." Shino said staring straight ahead.

Kiba nodded at Shino's words in agreement.

Kurenai decided not to waste anymore time on the matter. "Let's go."

She walked through the entrance first with Shino, Kiba, Akamaru, and Naruto behind her. It wasn't long until they reached the cell they were looking for. The prison cell that held the man responsible for what happened to Hinata. Stein.(Stein is one of my favorite characters in Soul Eater so I'm just gonna borrow the name. Name obviously belongs to the creator of Soul Eater) Kurenai still had some doubts on whether Naruto could control himself from attacking the man. Through the bars, Kurenai could see Stein hiding himself in the shadows on the lone bed. She unlocked the prison door letting herself and her team inside. 

"Hello." Kurenai chose to take the non violent route.

Stein remained in the shadows and didn't respond or even acknowledge he heard her. 

"Do you know, by any chance, about a blue vial?" Kurenai continued calmly.

Stein shifted towards them. "What of it?"

"A student of mine happened to find the vial. She drank from it and-" Kurenai was cut off to the sound of a hysterical laugh.

Naruto clenched his fists in anger, glaring at Stein. Kiba had a similar reaction as Naruto. Akamaru was growling. Shino remained impassive but to those who knew him they could distinctly see a frown and slightly lowered eyebrows.

"I didn't think it would happen while I was still alive. But it's a treat. A wonderful early gift. Someone has become my experiment. How wonderful!" Stein continued to laugh.

Kurenai had enough. "What is the cure?"

"There isn't one."

The revelation shook the occupants except for the insane scientist.

"What do you mean there isn't a cure?!" Naruto yelled angrily.

"My experiments exposed to the vial all had two different results in the end. And at the same too."

"What were they?" Kurenai asked-demanded.

The man didn't answer just smirked.

Naruto was done being calm. He walked forward and grabbed the man from the front of the shirt bringing him out from his shadow concealment. Stein had white hair and olive green eyes. He also wore glasses.

 "What were they?!" Naruto growled at him.

Kurenai didn't attempt to stop Naruto. 

Stein stopped laughing but his face was still marred with an insane smile. He stared straight into Naruto's eyes with his own olive green eyes.
