Chp::22--Ambushed Alone

" He is Kou Empire's Third Prince, Ren Kouha! " said the old coachman

" Ren Kouha? " Aladdin gasped as he finally met the guy you've been talking about

' Though he might look harmless, he's still from Kou Empire. I mustn't let my guard down. '

" Don't you ever mess with me again, especially when I'm not in the mood " the crimson orbed prince said sarcastically as his Metal Vessel returned to its original phase

The blue haired child continued to stare in awe. Kouha noticed this and turned to the youngster.

" Who's this kid? " he interrogated

" He was the one I allowed to ride along with you awhile ago, your Highness " answered the coachman

" Hey I'm Aladdin, a traveller, " the magi greeted " I came from Sindria "

" Eh? Sindria? " muttered the pink haired prince " Why are you travelling then? "

" I'm heading to Magnostadt to study magic. I may not look like it, but I'm actually a wizard " he paused before changing the topic " And I am a good friend of (Y/n)-oneechan "

Upon hearing this, he took the little boy seriously. He became curious of what had happened to you during the previous month when you were staying in Sindria, when the heartache was still fresh.

" Yes, she actually became my elder sister even for the short time that weve been together. She was the one who taught and guided me in using magic when Miss Yamu was not around. She also regulated the flow of rukh and shared amazing life stories she had " he answered

The third prince dragged the blue haired boy back to the carriage as his attendants followed him. After the short ambush, the group proceeded to their destination as Kouha and Aladdin talked.

" Did you know the reason why she agreed to come to Sindria in the first place? " he asked

The little boy finished his apple before answering the prince with a serious yet worried look on his face.

" Yes, she actually had one particular reason on why she had come to Sindria. According to oneechan, she just discovered the incredible power she had which allowed her to build a new protective barrier to protect the Kou Empire. Having no skills in doing this, her body became weak and her magoi eventually ran out which caused her an unusual sickness. " he paused " Uncle Sinbad had been made aware of this and offered her to come to Sindria to meet Miss Yamu, a water mage that could help her develop her power and cure this sickness. She did not want anyone in Kou Empire to know this because of the Emperor. It was kept as a secret to most of you, until now "

Kouha cannot believe what struggle you had for protecting the Empire though the Emperor did not seem to notice this. He had realized how blind he was on what you were doping despite all of this.

The prince was not able to respond. He don't know what to do nor say. Both grief and unsettlement were planted on the young man's mind.
