After everything that happened, Marinette finally opened up to Sabine and Tom, telling them everything that had happened and what she had overheard. Her parents did the best to cheer her up, which actually worked. Another positive thing in her life were her parents. They were always there, would already stick to her side no matter what, and do anything just to cheer her up.

For the entire week, Marinette hadn't come to school. She had informed the office in school that she wouldn't be coming, and she had begged her parents not to talk with her new enemies. They had agreed but told her she had to at least talk to them.

All throughout her week, she had been either at home, designing helping her parents in the bakery, going to the park, enjoying her hangouts with her friends, Alya and Nino, or she was busy saving Paris.

Most of the time now, Marinette would transform into Ladybug just to meet up with Chat Noir. A while back he had kinda looked sad, saying that he caused his friend great pain. He hadn't said anything after that, he said to stop talking about it, so Marinette didn't have ask any questions. She was actually beginning to warm up to the cat, but sometimes, most of the time, whenever she was with Chat Noir, he always reminded her of Adrien.

They shared the same smile that she had always thought was beautiful, the smile that would melt her heart whenever she saw it, the smile that would make her stutter in front of her crush. They had the same blonde hair, though Chat's hair was way messier, and he looked like the dirty type, but Adrien was clean. Everything he did was clean.

Marinette shook her head. Stop thinking about him, she continued to tell herself. It didn't really help. She needed a distraction and fast.

Then, as if he knew it was his cue to come, Marinette heard trappings coming from her window, and when she turned she saw Chat Noir. Her smile immediately widened as she ran over to the window, opening. She didn't know what had suddenly gotten into her, but she had pulled Chat into a massive bear hug when he entered.

"Whoa, someone looks happy," Chat laughed as she broke the hug. "How have you been doing?"

When he asked the question, her smile faded, and Chat must have noticed because he gave her a worried look. "Actually, I've been feeling crappy these past few days. I almost even turned into a villain because of it. I'm just glad you're here."

Although unsure of what to say, Chat Noir scratched his head, looking around the room. Finally, his eyes landed on Marinette again, before asking in such a squeaky voice. "What's been troubling you?"

"No," Marinette shook her head as she headed to her bed, "I don't want to talk about it. It's too. . ." She choked back a sob, afraid to cry in front of Chat. She had never looked so weak in front of him, as Ladybug and Marinette. She coughed a little and wiped her eyes, trying to hide that a tear almost fell down.

"Marinette. . ." Chat came and sat down next to her. "I'm sorry for whatever is bothering you, but I'm sure that whoever hurt you had his reasons. And — I know you said you didn't want to talk about it, but maybe talking about it will make you feel better."

That's what Mom said too, Marinette looked down. She sighed, but nodded anyway, showing a sign of defeat. "It's just that. . . I don't even know why, but there's this guy, and I got so confident that he liked me. He was always treating me. . . Like a princess. He gave me the wrong idea though, and I went and confessed my feelings to him. Now I'm getting made fun of because I got rejected by him."

"Made fun of?!" Chat looked triggered. "Who?!"

"I don't want to mention their names," Marinette shook her head again. "This blonde girl, and two of my used-to-be-friends. It really sucks."

"Wow, I'm. . . I'm so sorry," He muttered. "I didn't realize how bad it was."

"What?"

"I mean, I feel you. You should talk to that guy. Maybe he'll give you a reason why he said no. You never know, he could like you back, but maybe someone or something is stopping him from saying yes to you. Besides," Chat Noir smiled at her, "I can't imagine a guy rejecting a girl as beautiful as you."

Marinette didn't know why her face suddenly heated up at the words, but once it did, she looked away from Chat Noir until she was sure her red face was gone.

Chat Noir, on the other hand, looked absolutely bothered by what he had heard. "You said it was a blonde girl, right?" He knew it was without even having to think. Chloe Bourgeois, you've gone too far. I'm done being too nice to you!

But Marinette doesn't understand. I only rejected her because of Ladybug. Chat Noir looked down, thinking about how close he had gotten to Ladybug. About a month ago, it seemed to him that Ladybug was suddenly flirting back, but then she had completely ruined his hope when she informed him that she was going to finally confess to her crush. She hadn't exactly spoken to him about it after that, but she had always been looking happy, so he had assumed it had worked well for her.

"I don't know if I can talk to him," Marinette admitted. "Whenever I look at him, I just feel embarrassed. I ruined my friendship with him over a stupid crush."

"I'm sure you didn't ruin the friendship. Hey, he could still want to be friends with you," Chat Noir stood up from the bed. "Promise me that you'd talk to him?"

"I-I don't know. . ."

"Please?"

Marinette gulped, before she nodded without looking at him.

"Thanks," Chat Noir leaned in, pressed his lip on her red cheeks before jumping out of the window, feeling like everything that had happened was his fault.
