I woke up to the blinding sun in my eyes. I pulled the covers over my messy bed head and closed my eyes. I had been on summer break for awhile now. It had been the same as the past summers, stay up, sleep in, the summer routine. But this summer was different. Very different. It was the summer I was waiting for for almost 4 years.

"How could I forget?!" I said rather loudly. I opened my phone and checked the date. Sure enough it was today. And I was late. "I'll be there in 10 minutes! can't believe it's today!" the text read.

I quickly jumped out of bed and began to get ready. I counted down the minutes as I blasted my music loud, as normal.

I heard the doorbell ring and jumped to my feet. I ran to the door and quickly opened it to see him there. He immediately pulled me into a tight hug. I nestled my face in his neck like I always did and we stayed there like that for what seemed like an hour. I didn't mind though, it was nice to be in his arms again. This time, there wouldnt be anything to seperate us again.

He finally released me from the tight hug and laughed lightly. "I can't believe that this time..." he trailed off "this time it's not going to be our dream anymore." I finished his sentance. "yes, let's get to it."

That week, I packed most of my belongings into boxes. And today was our great escape. But before we could actually leave, we'd have to go and put away our stuff in storage for when were actually going to move to where we end up.

And we did just that. After, we got our bags and headed straight to the air port by 5:00. As we sat in the car, we were bubbly with excitement. This was beyond my belief. I couldn't grasp the fact that he would be the one I'd get to travel with. After all these years of promising, dreaming, and working hard to achieve this, it would actually be happening.

Luke and I walked right to the security check. We had a late night flight, so there was a short line. Soon, we walked to the gates.

We were to be on several planes to Glendalough, Ireland within a number of minutes. As we sat there, I couldn't stop talking about the first thing on my list... I knew that he'd be dreading it this entire trip so I spared him. He can't dread it if it's the first thing to do right?

"So on Monday I scheduled the bunjee jumping." he looked at me, wide eyed. "You did not! you're kidding right?" I laughed and shook my head. It was my little surprise.

"But what if someth-" I cut him off. "Nope, no excuses. You said that you would do it, you can't do the talk if you won't do the walk." he half smiled, "I hate when your right." "Oh I know." a smirk took place on my lips.

"Flight 98 now boarding." I heard over the intercom. "This is it!" he exclaimed. "I'm glad I'm achieving our dream with you." He kissed the top of my head and pulled his luggage behind him as we walked towards the gate.

I had always hated plane rides. It seemed like the only thing good about it was the view of the sky. Everything else about it seemed terrible; the turbulence, the distance from the ground, the possibility of never touching the ground, the list goes on.

It seemed like the minutes dragged on as we waited for take off. I'm just glad I had someone to talk to on this flight. "So, what are we going to do in Ireland?" he asked.

"So when we get there in Glendalough, were going to walk the around the town at night. Go back to the hotel, get breakfast, maybe take a nap, get completely lost while we tour around the countryside, then go back to the hotel and watch netflix. The day after, bunjee jumping."

He sighed, "were really bunjee jumping? I hope this is another one of your jokes." I laughed. "It's definetely not, you know me. I've been talking about this for years. C'mon, Luke, you'll love it. Then after we'll laugh about your silly fear of possibly dying." I sarcasticly said.

"I'm serious! What if something goes wrong?" He exclaimed. "We'll be fine. You really need to be more adventurous, but that's what I'm here for." I said. "Being adventurous is jumping off bridges?"

"Nope. It's living bravely and spontaneously. Also trying new things."

Luke was about to speak, but the flight attendant beat him to it. "Welcome aboard, let's have a great flight today. But first lets go over the safety procedures..."

Before long, we were in the air 10,000 feet above the ground.
