I woke up to the buzzing of my phone. It was sitting on top of the chair, charging by the wall.
Luke was still asleep. Thankfully he'd been sleeping more and more.
I untangled my limbs from his gently and tip toed to my phone. I was careful to not wake him. It was still buzzing. Mom. I of course left my phone number before we were off to the air port.I was scared to answer it. I knew I'd hear an earful of how stupid I was to leave everything behind. I didn't leave everything behind. I had Luke. He would now be my everything.
I declined the call with guilt and tiptoed back to bed. The flight wasn't till later today so we could sleep in. I pulled the covers over me and was about to fall back to sleep when I heard a faint voice.
"Everything okay?" he whispered. "It was my mom." Was all I whispered back.
"She'll be fine. Just try to get it off your mind alright? you can call her after we arrive in Ireland." He was always great at giving me advice. "Okay. I'll call her once we get there. I'm just-" he cut me off mid sentance. "Hey, it'll be fine. Just get it off your mind alright? don't want you worrying."
"Mkay. I'm gonna go back to sleep, still a bit tired."
I laid down beside him and drifted off to sleep again.****
"Madi, wake up. Don't want to miss our flight." My eyes opened and I took in my surroundings. The first thing I saw was him, his brown eyes to be exact. "What time is it?" he rolled over and checked his phone, which was sitting on the mahogony nightstand. "About 10:00, we should leave in an hour, so we should get going."
Before he got up, I wrapped my arms around him, "madi..." he said with a smile. "Good morning, I hope you slept well." I rested my head on his chest. I could hear the vibrations run through his chest as he said, "Good morning, sleeping beauty." I stole a quick kiss and was on my feet.
I was rummaging around my suit case when my phone started to ring. Mom. I looked over to Luke with the phone ringing in my hand. "Just wait until we get there. She's most likely going to convince you to go back. I know you, you hated it there. I just don't want you doing something you'll regret. Mkay, princess?" I nodded and put the phone down.

I was awoken by the bright atomic orange peeking through the window. I had Luke resting on my shoulder sleeping. I picked up the book from my lap.
Looking for Alaska had always been one of my favorites. It was my emotional roller coaster. One minute the mother f*cking fox was making his great escape with pudge. The next moment they were figuring out why their friend ended up with her chosen fate.I couldn't help but look out the window after every other paragraph I read. The sun was still coming up. I noticed that there was now a thick blanket of clouds all around us. It was really a sight to see.
Luke woke up an hour later. He put his hand over the page I was reading. He tilted my chin up so I was now looking at him. He stared into my eyes for a bit. "What are you doing?" I said with a little laugh. "Making sure your not upset about this book. It always gets to you, and I don't want to see you sad." I laughed and batted his hands away. "I'm fine at the moment. Their pulling one of their wild pranks right now and their running away." He laughed. "You're such a nerd. But your my nerd."
It wasn't before long when I heard the announcement I've been waiting for. "We will be arriving in Glendalough, Ireland in 20 minutes. Please put up your drink trays and electrical devices." I already had reservations for The Wicklow Heather restaurant at 7:00.
"Ready to start this adventure?" I asked. "Hell yes." He replied. "Just without the crazy things you want to do. I'm not going to let you do them okay? It's not safe." I laughed. "I like how you think you can hold me back. It's quite cute actually." I replied. "Jeez don't be so sassy, missy." I looked up at him. "That's Madison to you, Lucas."
After an hour or so, we were already walking throughout the little town. It was absolutely perfect. It was an overcast day and it seemed to set the mood of the town perfectly.
The old stone buildings stood tall. The trees swayed along to the winds rythm. The lights shone down to greet our faces by a soft glow. The town was still with the exceptions with the occasional noises; people talking, car horns honking, and the breeze rolling by.
It was a great start to our trip. After a few hours our feet began to ache and tiredness overcame us. I wanted to keep going and enjoy the night but, we needed to get our sleep.
I walked into the hotel room, kicked off my shoes, and fell down onto the bed. "Scoot over, your taking up all of the room." It was true. I was sprawled out on the dark blue duvet. My arms reached out to either side of me and he sighed. "Don't make me lay on you."
I laid there in complete comfort. I didn't care. I was too exhausted to move. "I will lay on you. You could just scoot over a bit..." I looked up at him. "Go ahead I'm not moving." I muttered. "Mkay. Whatever you say..." and without a warning, he collapsed on my arm. "I told you I would." He then brought me closer to him.
"I'm gonna go get ready for bed. " He whispered. "Same here..." a silence settled between us as we shared a stare. "I call the bathroom!" I exclaimed and jumped to my feet. "No! I said I was getting ready for bed first. That's not fair!" He pouted. "Life's not fair." I said as I grabbed my bag.

I woke up and the first thing I saw was Luke. It was still pitch black outside. I could see all the stars still illuminated. It brought me back to the thought of him. He was the only star in my sky. I wrapped my arms around him and fell asleep happily.
