Kasumi's POV
As I was watching the young man walk into the forest, in search for another lion turtle city. I looked to my side, and saw Aye-Aye as he sniffed the air, he was sensing trouble, something was wrong.
"Everything alright, Aye-Aye?" I asked.
Then Aye-Aye started to run and take off for the forest.
"Aye-Aye! What's wrong? Where are you going!" I yelled.
"Something's happening! Stay here!" Aye-Aye said.
"But Aye-Aye!" I said, stubbornly.
"Stay here! I said!" Aye-Aye said, running off.
I sat down in the middle bridge, trying to convince myself Aye-Aye had everything under control. So, I closed my eyes and focused on my concentration, zoning everything out around me and I meditated.
Until, moments later, I heard footsteps of many and saw Aye-Aye coming my way, carrying the young man in his arms, the man was hurt!
"Aye-Aye! What happened?!" I said running up, concerned.
"He fell from a tree, he's hurt," Aye-Aye said, "Help me get him in the water."
As we reached the shore of the oasis water, I helped support his back and neck into the water, while Aye-Aye supported his legs. As he groaned in pain, I swiped some hair out of his eyes.
As the water glowed, he was healed and a smile appeared across his face.
"How are you feeling?" I said, seated next to him.
"I feel great, what's in this water?" He asked.
"It has special healing properties." Aye-Aye said.
Then a leaf spirit named- Oahu, gave him a fruit to eat.
"Thanks." He replied as he took a bite," So...what did you do to that hunter?"
"Spirits are able to take over a human body for a short time. If I stayed in there any longer I would have killed him, which I did consider." Aye-Aye explained.
"Thanks for saving my neck, but why'd you do it?" The man asked.
"I saw you save the cat deer from those hunters. I've never seen such an act of selflessness from a human before." Aye-Aye said.
"Ahem." I cleared my throat.
"Well, except for Kasumi, who is half human, but other than that no others." Aye-Aye said.
"Told you I wasn't like the others."'The man said, as Mula (the cat deer), nuzzled up against him.
"Guess I underestimated you, human." Aye-Aye said as the man stood up, out of the water.
"Are you off to another lion turtle city?" Oahu, the leaf spirit asked.
"I was, but...I think I've had enough with humans for a while. I've decided to stay here and learn the ways of the spirits." The man said.
"That would be interesting." I smiled, as I felt the man smile back.
"What a great idea! That'll be fun!" The two spirits said.
"Now, hold on!" Aye-Aye said, "A human living with spirits? It's never been done."
"Well, except for me, I'm half human-half spirit." I said.
"You don't count Kausmi, remember?" Aye-Aye said, waving his hand off at me.
"First time for everything, right?" The man said.
"Hmm...I guess we can try it. I've never had a human as a pet before, I think I'll call you...Stinky." Aye-Aye said.
"The name is Wan." Wan said, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Stinky is more accurate." Aye-Aye joked....
I guess I'm not the only human around here now...
