Chapter Three

Daddy, Harry and I now all sat quietly in the lounge room eating dinner. I glanced at Harry a few times to see he had barely touched his food. Raising an eyebrow and looking at my empty plate, I carefully crawled over Daddy -that put a hand on my back- continuing to watch television.

My gaze set intensely on Harry as he glanced at the lamp beside the couch. I grunted and sat up before clearing my throat. Harry looked over at me and I looked at his food before up at him again. With one eyebrow raised and one ear perked up, I waited for his response.

He looked down at his food and up at me tilting his head. I nodded and bit my lip leaning closer a bit; my tail still swaying over Daddy's lap.

Harry knelt his head down and pushed the plate towards me with his nose. I smiled leaning down and began to nibble at the food. Harry watched me slowly lifting his head. I happily chewed away as Harry leant down again, sniffing me.

Swallowing down, I slowly looked up at him. The tips of our noses touched as I flinched back staring at him wide eyed. He blushed a bit and leant over the plate towards me. He wasn't sniffing me this time but pushing his limits. Seeing how close he could get before I stopped him.

My ears went flat and I lowered my head as his face came near mine. His breath touched my face and I cautiously looked up. It was now I noticed he was close to me. His body and intentions. His food forgotten for now.

He grunted lightly and leant his face beside mine before tensing to a halt. I felt my heart beat pick up at how intense this was. His cheekbone touched mine and I whimpered gripping the couch. Harry rubbed his face slowly against mine as ge lightly purred.

His effort of trying to win my affection of trust made me relax a bit against him. "Well look at you two." Shooting my eyes wide, I looked back to see Daddy smirking at us. A blush raised to my cheeks and I scampered back to where I was before and hid my face against Daddy.

Daddy rubbed my back and sat up turning the television off.

"Well it's getting pretty late. Bed time!" Daddy said standing up. He usually carries me so I stood on my knees holding my arms out, ready to be picked up. "Not tonight baby girl. Remember, Harry's here." I looked over to see Harry yawn and bring his attention back to us.

Nodding, I jumped off the couch and waited as Daddy encouraged Harry to follow him. Harry nodded following Daddy after me as we came up the hall. Daddy opened the door to my room and I crawled in towards the large box placed against the wall. The light was turned on and I looked back to see Daddy guiding Harry to the box.

"Now this is where you'll sleep every night with Grace so you won't get lonely." Harry blinked up at Daddy before being carefully nudged towards me. I crawled into the box full of pillows and blankets - making it cosy and comfortable to fall asleep in. Harry was soon pushed in behind me looking around wide eyed.

I yawned stretching out and cracking my neck before falling onto my side and relaxing. Harry stayed where he was as Daddy looked into the box.

"Now Grace, you take good care of Harry tonight ok?" I hummed in response letting my eyes droop closed. The box door closed and we lay in silence hearing Daddy flick the light switch off and close the room door.

It only took a few minutes before I heard whimpering. Scrunching my face up, I propped on my elbows yawning.

"Harry?" The whimpering got slightly louder as I fell on my side again. Ruffling was heard before I felt a hand on my arm. It gripped it and a head touched my side before a body plonked down right beside me.

Harry lay close wrapping an arm around the back of my thighs and resting his head on my hip. I yawned again feeling him curl into me. I wasn't used to this but I guess Harry was a bit scared to sleep entirely by himself. So I just let us fall asleep like that I suppose.
