Jacob took a careful leap onto Serina's island. It was noticeably bigger than his, and had a single tree that produced apples. That could be something to eat. He followed her to the trapdoor, and stared inside. It was dark in there. There seemed to be a ladder, as Serina started climbing down. Each step made a sound that echoed into the dark. After she was a while away he began his descent, the ladder went on for a while before he found the bottom. He was met by silence, and called out. "Hey, S-selina? This isn't funny." He took a step forward into the darkness. He felt around for the walls, and felt the cold surface of what seemed to be stone."This must be a cave," he thought to himself. It smelt kg sulfur, which sent a shiver down his spine. He didn't know why. He continued to walk until he ran into something small, a piece of furniture he presumed. Then he heard Serina's voice come from up the ladder. "Jacob? Did you come down here? Dangit, I should've sealed this place..." Sealed it? Why would she want to do that. He crouched behind the piece of furniture as he saw light sweep the room, and he knew it was her. He closed his eyes and prepared for what might happen if we found him. He heard her footsteps meet the ground as she grew closer, and closer... Until she was on the other side of the furniture from what he could hear. And then, again, he heard her voice from the ladder. "Jacob? I really need you to come on out if you're down here. I'm leaving for now, so come up later." He sat in silence, only hearing her footsteps going up the ladder, for a moment before he realized something "The ladder... Wait. The ladder!" he thought to himself. "THE LADDER ISN'T RIGHT BY ME!" He opened his eyes, which were now used to the dark, and was horrified by what he saw. The first thing he saw was the "furniture." He was horrified by the sight of it, a pile of bones. Most of the bones definitely weren't human. So what were those footsteps? He peeked past the pile, to see blood red eyes staring back at him.
