Serina climbed up the ladder to her room. She sat down on her chair that she had made herself. Jacob was strange, talking of a place that is in one piece, acting like he knew nothing. But his intentions didn't seem bad. She only wanted his island, whether he gave it willingly or she had to take it by force.
The last person she came upon... Did something to hers. Added the basement. She was pretty sure Jacob went down there, even though she had locked the metal trapdoor she built to stop the thing that was in there from getting out. But it's been inactive and unfed for weeks, so she figured it was safe.
Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by a scream- Jacob. She climbed down the ladder, until she reached the trapdoor. She fiddled with the lock until it opened.
It was dark, and smelt of sulfur. We grabbed her flashlight and switched it on, and the first thing she saw was Jacob staring straight at her from the dark.
"Jacob? You alright?" He stared at her for a bit than turned around and walked into the dark. The last thing she wanted to do was be down in the dark with the thing wandering around.
She followed Jacob anyways. "Come on Jacob it's dangerous down here." Jacob paused then kept on walking forward. She was forced to follow.

          A FEW MINUTES EARLIER

Jacob stared at the thing and it stared back at him. "W-what?" He asked it, though it was no use. He could only see its eyes, but he had a bad feeling about it. He began to step backwards, but the thing followed. He eventually backed up into a corner. The thing stands in front of him, and he starts to see it. It was humanoid, it's teeth too sharp, it's eyes red, and it walked on all fours. Well, six, he counted three legs on each side. It's neck was twisted, and it wore a terrifying smile. "Oh god... What... Are you?" It's smile seemed to grow more. It charged at him, and he screamed. As he did, the thing looked to the ladder as if it heard something else. It ran into the dark as Jacob heard a trapdoor open. He stayed in the corner, and felt like he couldn't move. He watched as Serina climbed out and then asked him something. But it wasn't him. She was talking to no-one. What? She began to walk into the dark. "This is the worst day of my life." He was sure of it. He went into the dark and tried to find her.
