Basic Summary of History

A/N: I purposely made the introduction come after the prologue, so bear with me now

What was known as "Earth" is now Myst, a faraway planet yet to be revealed and discovered. With the Seven Divided Districts united, the planet was advancing at an incredible speed, faster than ever would have been imagined.

In fact, the immense amount of time has caused the Mystians to evolve at an exceptional rate, developing powers known as "Gifts," or "COV's."

It began in the middle of the 23nd Century, on the exact date of August 14th of 2269, in which a series of seven meteorites fell upon the surface of Myst, each carrying a different kind of nuclear power.

Like streaks in the sky, they came barrelling into the villages, cities, towns of people. Hundreds of lives were lost on that very day, thousands of casualties, and seven craters were left in a hundred-thousand foot wide ditch. This catastrophic incident was and will be forever remembered in history.

Astoundingly, the meteorites' energy wasn't damaging. In fact, it boosted the morality survival rates, causing future populations to fluctuate.

In fact, by the end of the sixth decade, several sightings of seven "gifted" children echoed among the landscapes of rumbling confusion, and that's when scientists decided to, once again, take initiative of this curious situation. Their conclusions came out not long after, and have confirmed the fact that these puzzling powers were derived from the radiation of these seven meteorites.

Before long, these seven meteors caused people to separate into seven different regions: The Smoking Hills, The Central Palace, Marine Valleys, Pine Coast, The Frozen Falls, Moonlight City, and The Crystal Caverns. They were each ruled under a "gifted" child.

These seven regions soon became known as the Seven Divided Districts as conflicts began to arise between each other, battling each other for power, hatred in their veins rushing the fastest it's ever rushed.

It stopped two decades later, the year a brilliant minded young man by the name of Enzo Theodoric, who rose to power in his district of The Central Palace at the age of nineteen and united the Seven Divided Districts. For three decades, they lived in peace and prosperity, their people happy, tranquility enveloping the land.

And that's when it happened. In the year 2293, the 27th of September. The Central Massacre.

Millions of people died that day, slaughtered, ripped apart, burnt to death. Millions more lost their families, their happiness, their inner peace. The whole world was in complete chaotic anarchy.

Myst was in distraught, having lost The Central Palace, the most important kingdom of the planet. Flags have fallen, pride was gone, and here on entered the Global Depression. Farm markets drastically dropped, income was reduced to mere shreds. Not even a year after, the Global Massacre kicked in, wiping out nearly 90% of the entire planet's population.

Enzo Theodoric died a hero.
