I'm late! I'm late! I'm supposed to go to Warding's Inc. for a job interview as a new assistant and I'm already jeopardizing even getting the job. I pull on my jeans, long sleeved gray t-shirt and my jacket on and rush out the door. Before I go there I pass by the Starbucks around the corner of my house.

"Hey Shannon," I ask the cashier girl, "can I get my usual, please."

"Sure thing, April."

My usual just consists of a chocolate frosted donut and a latte. After getting my order, I exit. But, in such a rush to get back on schedule, I bump into the guy in front of me and drop all my coffee over him and me.

"Oh, crap! I am so sorry I didn't see you," I immediately stop talking when my eyes catch his beautiful brown ones. Oh. My. God! Did I just look into heaven?

"Miss, are you okay?" he asks me.

I snap out of my trance to answer him.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. But I should be asking you that. I'm so sorry."

"It's alright. No harm was done, just a few burns."

Not only did I spill my coffee on him, but I dropped my donut too, which falls to the ground and hits his shoe.

"Oops again," I say looking up from his shoes back to his face.

He takes a deep breath and just says, "Its fine."

But I can tell it's not. He then just walks away and gets on with his business. I look down at myself and see coffee all over my jacket. I remove my jacket and bring it to the nearest dry cleaners. Then make my way to down the eight blocks to the Warding's Inc. building for my interview.

"Can I help you?" the pretty red head lady at the front desk asks, her green eyes so welcoming.

"Yes, I'm April Watters have an interview with Mr. Ward. I'm a bit late though."

"Well, it's your lucky day then because Mr. Ward is also running late. But you can go upstairs and wait. The receptionist upstairs will assist you. Here's a guest badge. The elevators are to your right, and take it to the twenty-second floor."

"Thank you," I tell her.

I quickly rush towards the elevator just making in time before the door closes.

"Well, my days getting better," I whisper.

"Really because I can still feel that burn."
