The events from yesterday still have me riled up the next day, and I can barely focus. I have played what happened yesterday in my head over and over again.  And each time I have finished, I have only come out more and more frustrated. I was hoping I would see him when I came to work and maybe corner him into speaking with me. However, he has not stopped by.

"So, what does a guy have to do to get noticed around here?"

"Ah!"

I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I did not even notice Jeremy standing before my desk.

"Jeremy, you scared me."

"I'm surprised anything to garner your attention with you so deep into your own mind. Penny for your thoughts?"

"No, I-"

"How bought a rose then?" he smirks pulling out a bouquet of flowers from behind him.

"Woah, what are you doing here?"

"I came to take you to lunch," he says giving me another one of his boyish smirks.

"Lunch?"

"Yes. You still it those don't you? Or maybe not, as it seems these days I can assume anything about you anymore."

"What are you talking about?"

"I wanted to apologize about yesterday. I didn't mean to start anything with you and your boyfriend... or boyfriends?"

I disregard his last statement.

"Look Jeremy I really appreciate it." I go around to take the flowers from him. "And thank you for the flowers. But I can't go to lunch with you."

"How come? Oh come on, it's just two friends having lunch together. You know, catching up, hanging out. Like old times."

"Yeah but-"

"Please. I really just want to formally apologize... I promise I won't try anything," he adds in at my hesitation.

"It's not even my lunch break yet."

He scans around for a moment until he finds what he is looking for.

"Well then," he strolls over to the waiting area and plops down on one of the armchairs, "I will just wait right here until it is."

"Don't be ridiculous. That's is in hours."

"I'm in no rush."

He emphasizes his point by picking up one of the magazines and slipping down into the chair.

"Well... don't you have to be at work? At Reyna's house?"

"You know something amazing about being the boss? It's that you can hire other people to do the work for you. Isn't that so amazing."

Jeremy proceeds with his reading as if he could not have another care in the world. He continues to flip pages, ignoring my internal dilemma.

"Ok fine!" I give up. "I'll go see if I can get an earlier lunch."

I place the flowers on my desk then head for Damien's office. I knock softly and open the door a crack to find Damien on his back on the couch, angrily speaking to himself while throwing a stress ball up and down.

"Is everything okay?" I ask, walking in and closing the door behind me.

He doesn't seem to know that I am there and continues angrily whispering to himself.
