•••Sarah•••
5:
Sarah stood waiting, outside of Timestone Films, tapping her toe on the pavement, as Beth drove her car up to meet her.
The car stopped a couple of feet farther then where Sarah was standing, and the wheels squealed as it stopped as Sarah opened up the passenger side door and climbed into the comfortable leather seating of the bright red Mazerati. Sarah hardly had the time to buckle herself in, when Bethany hit the gas, and her head was pressed against her head rest.
"God, Bethany," she said clenching the side of her seat until her knuckles were white, and then finally decided to check her reflection and turned to the right, rear view mirror, to adjust her long, wavy, blonde hair, "any faster and we'll be in freaking China in two hours."
Just then a car swerved unexpectedly in front of Beth's car and it took only seconds for Sarah to manage to get her looking before Beth stopped, barely touching the car, and Sarah's head to smack right into the mirror.
Sarah let out a squeak, and pushed her hand onto her forehead, a red patch marking Beth's lack of focus, "Are you kidding me?"
Beth gave a consisted snort, "Stop it! Your ruining my mojo!"
"Well I'm sorry but I'm not the one driving my boyfriend's buckets-of-money-car!" She protested.
"Just another reason I love Ryan so much. Did I tell you that Ryan chose the L.A Kings so we could be close to each other while he's playing his games?" Beth said with swooning eyes.
"Yes, like ten times on the way home from my pathetic date last night. Now shut up and just drive!"
"Ugh. Fine, Ms. Crabby-Pants, be like that," Beth said with a provoking tone, "but, admit it, you had fun last night."
Sarah turned her head and growled her response in a furious tone, "You call fighting in front of an inhabited restaurant, fun?!"
"You weren't fighting," Beth contradicted, "you were flirting."
"Flirting my fat ass!" Sarah looked as if she was going to pull her hair out, and once she did, pull out Beth's, "You don't scream at each other if your flirting."
"You do if you're a married couple," Beth replied, eyebrows raised.
"We're not a married couple! My god, you of all people should know that!" Sarah slumped back into her chair, her eyes closed from exhaustion. It was as if any conversation she ever had with Beth was always some how ticking off the years from her clock, both mentally and physically.
"Okay, fine, I was only joking." Beth replied as she realized her best friend was tired of hearing her speak, "But you've got to admit, my cousin in one hottie."
Sarah snorted this time, "Yeah, o-kay."
Beth shook her head keeping her eyes on the road, "Deny it all you want, honey, you know it and I know it. He's obviously into you."
"Yeah?" Sarah said glancing up at Beth, "Well that's one hell of a way to show it."
Beth rolled her eyes, "Look, all I'm trying to say is maybe you should at least get to know the guy before you rush into things."
Sarah was appalled, "Rush into things? Bethany I don't even like him, never-the-less know him!"
"Then get to know him!" Beth repeated.
"And why should I?" Sarah questioned.
Beth's voice took on a suspicious tone, "You never know when you'll bump into someone, Sarah,"
