chpt 9. the honeymoon

Encre looked back once more to the place she once called home as it burned away.

She remembered back to when she lived there. She remembered how the sun would shine in through her bedroom window every morning and evening. She remembered stopping by the baker to grab some bread or cakes and he would always give them to her for free, even though she could afford to pay for it. She just hoped the people she cared for escaped or found safety.

"Fallacy....wait one moment....there's some people I wish to say goodbye to", and before Fallacy could get a word in, she dove down into the kingdom that was now ablaze, looking for her friends. First she found Azure, cornered by vampires, so she swooped down, transformed back to normal in a puff of black smoke and hissed, a snarl erupting from her chest as she spoke, "back off! This one is mine! Go and find these people...please..." her voice softened for a moment as she handed them each a photo of her friends, they were a brown colour, and crumpled, camera's still developing and were currently only a mere flash in a lit spark.

They all nodded and split up to find these people, and she turned to Azure. He stared in wonder at the beauty, not recognising her for a moment. Her once pure white wedding gown now tainted by the blood of her victims gave that gold glow against the flames that surrounded them. "Salut Azure..." Encre's voice was calm and soft, and offered a hand to him. Reluctantly, he took it, before hugging her. "Encre! Thank god you're alive! But...you.." Azure pulled away from the hug. Scared.
"You're...one of them...?", sadly she nodded and looked down, "yes...I am...I fell in love with someone, and I am his now, and he is mine....and now not even death can separate us", she explained softly, her voice calm and full of joy.

"But how?! How could you fall in love with one of those thin-" "don't you dare" she warned...her voice suddenly went cold and harsh, it scared Azure and made him jump. "I've come to offer you....a better life....come with me, you'll be a personal guard for my husband and I. I can make you the captain, and Rufious and the others will come too"  "how do I know that though? How do you know they'll go willingly?"
Encre only flashed that beautiful smile of hers "they won't want to disagree now...not with all thats happening..." she was right.....she was right and Azure knew it...he couldn't argue anymore and so...he took her hand.

And with that, Encre took off, holding Azure tight, he screamed in fear looking down, they had gotten so high up within 10 seconds. And within that 10 seconds, Encre had caught up to Fallacy "sorry about that dear, I had some people to catch up with" "d-DEAR?!?!" Azure suddenly shouted, his voice high and shrill "YOU MARRIED THE KING OF VAMPIRES?!?!" "Yes, yes I did" Encre said with pride, a proud smile upon her pretty face.
"So much for saying goodbye", Fallacy smirked and raised a bone brow. "Oh, right, hehe, I'm terrible at saying goodbye...?" Encre said with a shrug as she gave him that typical smile.

Hours after escaping the burning kingdom, Encre and Fallacy arrived back at the castle. Rufious, Mr. Baker, Lofy, Simon and Orion all gathered in the throne room, the vampires Encre sent off to find them stood behind them like body guards, a hand on each of their shoulders to make sure they didn't try anything.
Encre had excused herself for a moment to go and change, for once they finish talking to the group, the newly weds would be heading off for their honeymoon, and so she walked up the stairs, elegantly and hasting, excited for the times ahead of them.

Meanwhile...Fallacy stared at the group with cold dead eyes, the blue iris of his left eye turned red "now then....names....what are your names?" His voice was colder than his stare and it showed no remorse for noone.
Azure, hiding in Rufious arms, spoke up first, his voice was shakey and shrill as he tried not to stutter, failing miserably, "m-my na-names a-a-Azure.....r-royal guard on d-duty...sir" poor Azure, he felt so small under Fallacies stare, and the king seemed so cruel and scary, he looked like how the rumours told of him, well for now he did, they just needed to get to know him.

Mr Baker was next, but he was a little more open and friendly, bowing out of respect "I am Monsiuer Baker lord Fallacy" Baker was a lot braver when it came to this, to him this was nothing more than a simple chat, as he faced worse. "You're very calm for someone just taken from home" Fallacy retorted and grinned "pfft! Oh nonsense! I have faced crowds scarier than you, and trust me, nothing is scarier than a hungry crowd" the baker joked and smiled, a low, cold yet amused laugh erupted from Fallacies tongue as he looked up for a moment, arms crossed "very sassy, I like that....now then...Lofy...I am already affiliated with you....so what about you 3?".

Fallacy then turned onto Rufious, Simon and Orion, the child that was Orion hid behind Simon. "The names Rufious, now f*** of-.....what the f***?! Why is that happening?!" "Language please!" Suave glared and spoke up from behind Rufious, making the man screech in surprise and jump back, taking on the praying mantis position, arms up in the air standing on one foot. This just sent the whole room into laughter, Rufious' face turning bright red, "d-don't laugh at me! That was not funny! you shouldn't go sneaking up on people like that ya a**hole!!! AND STOP CENSORING ME!!!!!".
Suave only ignore him and rolled his eyes, he did not laugh, trying to keep that professional persona as he tidied himself up, straightening his hat, adjusting his glasses and cleared any wrinkles in his shirt, before walking away.

"I'm Orion!" The kid suddenly looked much happier and open about greeting Fallacy, a good laugh was all that was needed to clear the once heavy air. "And I am Simon.....royal doctor" Simon cleared his throat and held his cane tight, trying to keep his balance in tact. "Well then" Fallacy spoke and smiled "now that I know you all, I don't need to be so nasty....how do you all know Encre?".

And que another hour of stories about meeting Encre, when and how, etc. Encre sat at the top of the stairs for that full hour, listening closely to each story, her heart warmed hearing the fond memories again, before she came down, happy as can be. She was dressed in a pair of tights, what should have been a gown was simply a coat with a skirt like train to it, the fabric a beautiful gold colour, rather delicate fine intricate designs dotted the coat. She also wore black tights, and her favourite lace up boots.

(This is the outfit, minus the gown, just imagine the description i gave plus that coat)

And a layer of ruffles at the neck of the coat decorated it beautifully. Her heels clicked softly against the ground as she approached Fallacy. Fallacy could only smile as he saw her, wrapping his arms around her waist, planting a small kiss on her delicate lips. "Almost ready to go my dear?" He asked with a hoarse, low voice, Encre purred in response and nodded, only to be rudely interrupted by Azure. "Wait....go?...where are you 2 going?". "Oh right! How silly of me! We are going on our honeymoon!". Encre exclaimed excitedly and giggled.

"Well...um..." Azure looked down nervously, rubbing his arm "as happy as I am for you...whats gonna happen with us while you 2 are gone?" "Oh thats easy, you'll all be given extensive training, to learn the qualities and qualifications needed to do your jobs here with us, since, we do things a little bit differently" she explained carefully, all while maintaining that beautiful smile of hers. 

Suave brought down his lords bags, and was about to go back to grab Encre's as well, when she stopped him and gave him a hand. Suave never really understood why she'd do this, it was his job to do such things for them, uet she would still insist on helping him.

"Well anyway, we should be going now, we'll be back in a few days time, meanwhile, you lot have training to undergo, so we will see you all soon". Encre hugged each of her friends before reapproaching fallacy and and nodding, a signal that she was ready to go.
Fallacy, in return, nodded and grabbed his bag, handing encre her bag, and in a puff of smoke, they were gone. Everyone coughed and waved the smoke away, before realising they were gone.
