Chapter 4
"Hey Mom," I said nervously.
"Hi honey," she said, sipping her latte while reading the newspaper.
"Um soooooooooo Mooooom," I said, faking a smile. "I sort of need a huge um, more like an uh um, an enormous, uh favor ..." Ugh, I was stuttering.
"Yeah....," She said, still reading the newspaper.
I started fiddling with my nails. It was a habit of mine whenever I was nervous or trying to find the right words to say. In this case, both.
After she sensed my nervousness, she finally tilted her head up to pay attention to me. She then removed her glasses and placed it carefully on the counter top.
"What is it?", she said, her eyebrows creased.
I stopped playing with my nails and looked up at her. A sigh escaped my lips. I took a deep breath and said, "I want to go study in Dortmund."

I'm at the airport with my parents behind me. I still can't believe my mom agreed to this. What if she finds out that I've been lying to her! I would be in deep shit! But luckily, Kate told me about this online course she's taking. I told her to sign me in as well. That way I would still be studying. It's the least I could do for my parents.
I walked into the airport carrying my handbag and my luggage dragging behind me. One baggage contained my beautiful ps4 and its controllers, snacks, electronics and all that junk, and the second one contained my clothes, shoes, and essential toiletries.
I said my goodbyes to my parents and my sister. My parents looked so happy and proud of me. So proud that they almost teared up! Apparently they think that I'm all 'grown' now and my sister, ha, she's off the roof! Now let me clear something up. Don't go thinking she's proud of me too. The only reason she's so freaking happy is because she can now take my beautiful room! What a snob!
I then left to the luggage check up. Before leaving them, I turned back and gave them a quick glance and a reassuring smile. I knew I was going to miss them.
After the very long and tiring checkup, I made my way through gate number 7, as I spotted Kate listening to music, she is in line ready to enter the plane. I ran up to her. "Kate!" I told her.
She looked over at me and as she noticed me she started taking her ear plugs out. "Hey, What's up ROE," She said smiling at me.
"Nothing much," I silently stood behind her cutting in the queue. Other passengers behind me sent me death glares, while I smirked taking a quick glance of all of them. The old lady behind me muttered something, I think she said "fucking sly devil". When her words processed our mind. Both me and Kate looked at her in surprise. This is the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. She must be a badass grandma. Kate and I looked at each other with wide eyes. For a second I thought our eyes were about to pop.
After giving them our ticket to check on, we both entered the plane together and the lady working there gestured us to our seats which by the way, was freaking business and not economy! I'm so glad we didn't have to suffer in economy.
The plane finally moved and began accelerating to the air. After a few minutes in the air. Kate and I started talking about how we'd be such great roommates and teammates. We'll probably get along, since we both had so many things in common. Being her roommate wouldn't be the slightest problem.
After a few minutes of silence and 'Air Safety' tutorials. I decided to take a nap, until I spotted Kate writing on a piece of paper. I was curious of what she was doing. I guess being the curious cat I am I will just go ahead and ask.
"Kate, What are you doing?" I asked her yawning tiredly. I didn't have much sleep last night, since I was too busy talking to Tani.
"Oh I'm just adding things to my to-do list." She smiled.
"Can I see it?" I asked her.
My curiosity is too fucking high luckily she kindly passed me the paper. I began to read:
-Skype my parents every Friday
-Clean my room on daily basis
-Buy new shin pads
-Get a boyfriend
I stopped and laughed at this one. Her face turned red as a tomato.
"Give me that," She told me her face is even more red at the moment. She tried snatching it but I quickly moved it away from her. "Chillax, I need one myself." She began laughing. I continued reading:
-Get a dog and name it COCO
"Coco? Really?" I told her, so hard trying not to laugh.
"Yeah," she said, grabbing the paper and looking at it with a proud smile on her face.
My laugh floated in the air and she began laughing at it too. The passengers sent us death glares the minute we noticed we immediately shut up.

The minute I heard the attendant I woke up from my long relaxing nap.

We finally reached we began unfastening our seat belt, as we grabbed our handbags, and started walking out of the plane. We did our checkout and grabbed our luggage.
Before we left, we decided to get a snack or something, since we regained our appetites. We made our way to McDonalds and stuffed our mouths and small talked.
After we were satiated, we made our way in a queue to get taxis.
The next thing I know is that we are brushing the streets of Dortmund. I happily took my Canon E50 and made a few shots here and there until we finally pulled to a stop near the apartment we were going to live in. We both climbed out of the taxi and made our way into the building which held our apartment.
