About the orphan/ intro

My whole life I've felt pain. Mental and physical, that's what tore my family apart. Childhood cancer takes a HUGE toll on the child and their family. My parents got divorced over it, then my dad died in a car crash. So it was just me and mom. Constant hospital visits gave me extremely horrific anxiety and this started when I was 7. I was diagnosed when I was 6 and 1/2. Now I'm 14, it's my birthday actually and here I am telling my story in a orphanage bed, hooked up to a monitor. Now you may be wondering where the fuck my mom went. Well when I turned 9 the death of my father hit her and she began using drugs and overdosed, she passed away when I was 10. 4 years later I'm in an orphanage but at least I'm in remission, cancer free! I have some internet friends and what not. But the one thing or people I should say that keep me going is the cast of Supergirl, especially Chyler Leigh! Wow I've been saying so much I forgot to mention my name. Well I'm Vanessa Ross, as I said I'm 14 years old, I live in Canada in the Vancouver Pres Orphanage. I've been here since I was 10 and I'm the second oldest, the oldest girl is 17. I have my own room covered in Supergirl posters and Sanvers posters as well as some pictures of Chyler. I go to school and have an after school job dog walking and I've raised enough money to get my own phone and laptop . I have a few friends in school but my best friend lives in England. We became friends over Snapchat in November of last year and haven't stopped talking since. Her name is Adrianna and we haven't been able to meet yet considering my circumstances. Today's my birthday like I mentioned earlier which means I have my yearly cancer scans soon, I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed. Mrs. Alexia, the orphan house "mom" said I have a surprise for my birthday. I mean I guess I'm close with her but we don't normally celebrate birthdays here.
