Royal family attends Easter service: Who was and wasn't there?

A very royal Easter Sunday!

The British royal family stepped out on Sunday, April 12, for an Easter church service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, which is where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married last May. The occasion also marked Queen Elizabeth II's 94th birthday.

The Queen was joined by Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Antony, Lucia Bautista Allen, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew for the sunny outing.

Noticeably absent was Queen Elizabeth's husband, Prince Philip.

Maundy Thursday: Queen joined by Lucia at Windsor service

The Queen was joined by Lucia Bautista Allen for this year's Royal Maundy Service as she marked Maundy Thursday by handing out coins to pensioners.

Commemorative purses were given to 94 men and 94 women at Windsor Castle's St George's Chapel, referring to the Queen's 94th birthday on Monday.

The recipients were chosen in recognition of their service to the church and local community.

Maundy Thursday is a Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter.

When the Queen arrived at the chapel's north door with her future granddaughter in law, they were presented with traditional nosegays - which in ancient times warded off unpleasant smells - before taking their seats at the head of the congregation.

Happy birthday to Prince Louis who is two year old today!

The Prince, who is fifth in line to the throne, was born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on 23 April 2018.

He is their third child after siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The Fab Six Attend ANZAC Day Service

Coming together for a good cause.

Prince William, Prince Harry, and Prince Antony attended an ANZAC Day service at Westminster Abbey with Catherine, Meghan, and Lucia on Friday, April 25.

The Royal couples joined forces as they took part in the annual service that honors the sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand forces. ANZAC Day - which stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps - also marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
