None (diversity)

Look at the television
What a distorted reflection
Of our society's
Reality

Real men, cry
Weak women, cry
Both doing the same thing
But unfairly defined

Why is it that you need great abilities before being accepted?
Got to be popular for you to be respected?
We are all born human
Superior gender? There should be none

In radio and news telecasting
Women are advised to make their voices manly
Or wear shoulder paddings
To increase credibility

Gays who design those sexy gowns and swimsuits
Are only respected when they wear suits
In fashion shows, skinny ladies are adored
A macho man, considered lord

Lesbians are getting cramps
For hiding too long in the 'closet'
Coming out gives them goosebumps
Not all of them are ready to be Ellen DeGeneres yet

Why is it that you need great abilities before being accepted?
Got to be popular for you to be respected?
We are all born human
Superior gender? There should be none

Respect is earned they say
Or is it innate?
Men regarded highly,
While the other genders are treated unjustly?

Even if unessential to the story they try to fit them in
Just so for it not to be named 'sexist'

Often casting transgenders and gays as clowns
Or lesbians as confused girls or thug ones
Or women who always need a man to live
And men who always have to rescue Eve

Why is it that you need great abilities before being accepted?
Got to be popular for you to be respected?
We are all born human
Superior gender? There should be none
