" Seriously, I can't dance " I said trying to convince Diego.
My mom introduced me to him. He's my granddad's closest female friends' grandson and he's Blue's childhood friend from when she stayed at Mexico.
" ha pasado un tiempo Azul, no significa que no puedas bailar"
(it's been a while Blue, doesn't mean you can't dance)
Say what...
" Uh, can you speak English " I asked biting my bottom lip.
He looked like his eyes were about bulging out but he brushed it off immediately.
" I said.. it's been a while Blue, doesn't mean you can't dance"
" Oh.. Yeah, I mean no. No I can't...anymore " I trailed.
Shit man.. I'm so confused right now.
"Okay, it's weird speaking English" he added turning of the song.
No.. Not for me, now I know the true value of English
" No it's not " I assured him with a chuckle.
My guardians finally alowed me to leave the house. Now, I was in a nearby park with my new friend; Diego.
I and Diego kept on chatting, i even found out that he had a twin and he seemed suprised by the fact that I'm just finding out.
We kept on talking about what we like and I didn't say it to him but we have alot of things in common.
About four guys approached us and I spotted his twin within them.
"Todos estamos listos para jugar hermano, ¿todavía estás?". His twin said as they had this bro handshake.
(we're all ready to play bro, you still in?)
I hate when people speak Spanish around me. It's so confusing.
" Sí hermano, ¿recuerdas a Blue?" Diego said pointing to me while shaking the two guys.
(yeah bro, remember Blue?)
"Qué pasa chica, han pasado años desde la última vez que te vi"
(what's up girl, it's been years since I last saw you)
" Can we use English instead? " I asked shaking his hand.
" Oh... Kay" he trailed looking at Diego.
" Uh.. What's your name again? "I asked pretending to be trying to remember.
" Dillan" he answered sticking his hands in his pockets.
" I'm Andrea " the other guy introduced himself with a slight wave.
" I'm Pablo" another guy said with a smirk showing off his dimples.
" And I'm Alfredo" the other one added.
I smiled at them and introduced myself.
" Uh... We're going to play basketball " Diego added rubbing the back of his neck.
I looked at the guy named Alfredo and realized he was holding a basketball. My face lit up and the twins stared at me surprisingly.
Why?
" Can I join you guys? " I asked eyeing the ball in Andrea's hand.
" You never play basketball... " Diego trailed.
" I learnt it while I was away" I lied.
They just shrugged and started walking.
I guess that's my queue to follow.

" Chest pass kiddo! " my dad yelled. Sweat dripping from his face.
" Can't I just hand it to you?" I pouted. My five year old self shaking.
" C'mon kid" he pleaded with me.
But I can't play basketball.
I'll just try.
I put the ball right behind me and swung it to God knows where.
My dad's eyes widened and we stared at the ball which moved past him and hit a guy's car glass giving it a crack.
Oh no.
" I'm so sowie" I said crying.
" It's okay kiddo. Come here".
I noticed that he was trying to calm everyone down but we were in big trouble because the owner came out and walked towards us.
We were in the park basketball ball court meaning we weren't the owners of the court.
" What the hell! " the guy yelled at us.
My dad pushed me beside him and faced the angry man calmly.
" I'll pay for it. I'm so sorry " my daddy said looking at the car.
" Tell your useless daughter to apologize!" the angry man yelled.
My daddy left me and headed towards the man with an angry look on his face and before I knew it.
The angry man was laying down on the floor with a bleeding nose.
" Daddy he's bweeding" I said tugging onto his jean.
My daddy covered my eyes and picked me up walking away.
" You're not useless kiddo" he whispered into my ear before I buried my face into his neck.
" Chest pass!! " Diego yelled from the other side of the court.
I think we're just warming up. I mid-squatted and placed the ball at chest length before passing it to him.
We warmed up for like ten minutes before we decided to have a match.
" So it's I, Alfredo and Andrea versus you three " Dillan stated placing his water bottle down.
We arranged ourselves and after that Pablo announced the rules before the game started.
