Lou presents herself as a man so that she can join the riders. Kid finds out she is a girl and helps her kept it a secret. They fall in love and get married later on in life. She is very glad to have other female companions besides Emma. She is especially close to Cerise and Calamity Jane.

James Hickok is hot tempered an quick to draw his gun. He is a fast draw and gains a reputation which he doesn't want. Teaspoon and Sheriff Cain try to help him. He doesn't like the girls at first, but they end up growing on him. Especially Calamity Jane.
