Chapter 1: Start

Her POV

"Cancel all my appointment for today. I have tons of paper to work on.."

I said, sitting on my swivel chair, reading some files in my right hand while shooing my left to my secretary to leave me alone.

This is my normal day as a President of my own company, an IT Company rather; my company is the one that makes games and other software related in or out of the media industry. We test and develop an application that depends on what the users want, or the user needed to.

Since the day this company has stablished, we rank already been to top, climbing effortlessly like a pro in the market. Ganyan ang company and I are the number one most promising and most popular businesswoman in the world.

I, Channia Trevein Stavros, am the ONLY woman in the world's Top 5 most wealthy people.

6:00 PM

My time to clock off, as I close my laptop, sort the things on my table and grab my bag then go.

Sino mang madaanan ko ay binabati ako ng ako'y makalabas ng opisina. I know everyone is surprise to know na ang isang tulad ko ay nasa iisang floor na kasama ang ibang empleyado but the thing is, anim lang kami sa top floor na ito while the rest of the employees and other staffs are on the down floor of the building.

"Ingat po sa pag uwi President !"

"Ingat po kayo President !"

"Goodnight President !"

Mga naririnig kong bati sa akin na tinatanguan ko lang. I'm not the type of person who always talk, depende nalang kung ang pamilya ko ang kausap ko.

At home...

Pagdating ko sa condo ko ay agad kong sinalampak ang katawan ko sa sofa.

I'm so exhausted!

I close my eyes and after a minute ay bumangon na ako at nagluto ng dinner ko. I'm living alone, my family is in Greece, but I choose not to come because it is so boring there, and doing nothing is not my thing.

After cooking and eating alone, I grab a can of beer from my fridge and then sit on my favorite spot, the veranda, where I could see the beauty of the night starry sky and be mesmerized by it.

As I begin to drink, my tears begin to flow too and the next thing I knew I'm crying like there was no tomorrow.

I don't even know why I'm being like this when the night comes, it feels like I'm missing someone but when I try to think about who is that someone, my head is already aching and already shouting then the next thing is I fainted.

Every night in every d*mn year in my life that I don't even know when the hell I start to feel like I'm missing someone I don't even know and feel the pain in my chest that I don't even know why I have to bear.

I feel like I'm loss...

When I feel the ray of light on my face, I got up even my eyes is close. It's Tuesday and I don't have to go to work. And I only go to my office when Monday, Thursday and Saturday then the rest of the days is, I'm just here at my house or in the city library. And this is the day that I want to go there.

Gumayak ako, naligo't nag-ayos ng mga kalat ko. I wear a simple white loose V-neck shirt, a black high waist short then I insert the front part of the shirt then wear my purple cotton cardigan and flats then go.

Naglalakad lang ako lagi pag-lumalabas, i stop by on the near cafe. "Good morning, Star!" bati ng isang staff sa akin at pinagbuksan ako ng pintuan, pinagtinginan naman ako ng mga tao pero di ko na inintindi at dumiretso sa counter.

"Good morning, Star, like always?" tanong ni Shelly, ang cashier na tinanguan ko lang kaya agad niyang inasikaso ang usual order ko, inilibot ko naman ang paningin ko sa mga cakes and cupcakes na nakadisplay sa estante.

"Shelly!" tawag ko na ikinalingon niya sa akin, tinuro ko naman agad ang red velvet cupcake na natipuhan ko, mukhang na-gets naman agad niya at kinuha ito.

Nang magbabayad na ako ay may tumabig na isang kamay sa card na iniaabot ko kay Shelly at inabot ang card niya, agad ko siyang nilingon at tinaasan ng kilay.."What do you think you're doing?" I ask coldly, he just smile at me then inabot kinuha na ang card niyang tapos na sa transaction then naglakad paalis sa harap ko.

"Who is he?" lingong tanong ko kay Shelly ng inabot niya na sa akin ang order kong coffee and cupcake, hindi ito nakabalot dahil kakainin ko ito habang naglalakad.

"He's Sun, Miss.." ngiti niyang sagot sakin, agad napakunot ang noo ko sa narinig.. "Sun for sunshine raw kaya iyon ang ginamit niyang code sa card member, Star." dagdag pa niya, tumango na lamag ako saka lumabas at naglakad na papunta sa library.

Limang kanto ang layo ng aklatan sa cafe kaya sinulit ko nalang sa pagkain ng cupcake ang oras ko sa paglalakad. I walk like a queen, slowly but elegant. Until I reach the library, saktong tapos ko rin sa pagkain ko at inumin.

After I sign my name on the front desk ay dumiretso na agad ako sa aking favorite section, the fiction section.

I grab the first Greek Mythology book that I saw. Halos sa paghahanap lamang ako ng libro natatagalan sa stay ko rito, nakaka-tatlo na ako ng makakita ako ng about sa Mythical creatures kaso nasa bandang dulo pa ito at kahit nakatapak na ako sa hagdan ay hindi ko ito maabot.

"Malapit na Trev, malapit na.." I cheer myself while reaching the book, kagat kagat ko pa ang labi ko, nang mahawakan ko ang dulo ay saktong pagdulas ng kamay ko sa kapitan ng hagdan. Pumikit ako at inihinanda ang sarili sa masakit na pagbagsak, rinig ko pa ang naunang kalabog na alam ko namang libro.

"Hey!" dinig ko dahilan para mapamulat ako at magkatinginan kami ng taong sumalo sa aking sa pagkahulog sa hagdan.

"Are you okay My Star?"
