Today is the day. Today is the day I am going to ask my boss for his daughter's hand in marriage.
Emma and I started dating 4 years ago on her 18th birthday and we have been together every since then.
I woke up this morning at 5 a.m. and grabbed my clothes and got dressed and slipped on my shoes and grabbed everything that I needed for the day and walked into my bedroom and grabbed the ringbox and grabbed my keys and walked out the door.
After a few minutes of driving I arrive on base and get out of my car and walk to the entrance.
I walk in and head towards bravo's cages notice Jason already sitting in his cage.
After setting my stuff down I realize that this is the best chance that I'm going to get at asking Jason and I start to get really nervous.
" Jason, Can I talk to you for a minute?" I ask Jason approachinghis cage
" It's about Emma and I. I realize that you are my boss and this is a little old school. Jason, I love Emma and I don't want to spend the next three years waiting when I know now that she is the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I would like your blessing to ask your daughter for her hand in marriage." I tell Jason
" Clay, I know that you love Emma and I know that she loves you. I give you my blessing." Jason tells me
" Do you have a ring?" Jason asks me
" Yeah. I do." I tell him pulling the ringbox out of my pocket and handing it over to him
Jason opens the box and looks down at the ring.
" It's beautiful. Emma's going to love it." Jason tells me
After a little more talking to Jason I asked him not to tell the guys until after I had proposed to Emma to which he agreed.
I walked over to my cage and put the ring in the hiding spot and I got changed into my fatigues as the rest of bravo filtered in with ray and Trent teasing Sonny about his well-known hatred for the jungle.
After a bit of joyous fun at Sonny's expense everyone's phones buzzed indicating that there is a new mission.
We walked into the toc and sat down in our seats and started listening to our new mission. After getting all of the available details we walked back to the cages and grabbed the gear we would need for this mission and walked out to the c-17 and got on the plane.
{ 3 Days later }
After successfully completing the mission we all went to the showers to get cleaned up before heading home to our families.
After getting dressed I walked back towards the cages and grabbed the ringbox and went back to my apartment to get ready for my date with Emma.
After getting home I changed into a pair of jeans and a crisp white button up shirt.
I grabbed the ringbox, my wallet and my keys and drove to the nearest florist and bought Emma a bouquet of red roses.
After a few more minutes of driving I arrive at Emma's house 15 minutes before I'm due to be there.
I knock on the door and when Jason opens the door he slightly nods at me.
After a few minutes of waiting Emma comes down the stairs wearing a maroon colored floor length dress looking absolutely stunning.
" I'm going out to drinks with the boys, Emma. Mikey is spending the night at his friends house." Jason tells Emma the lie that was thought up because he was really going to the place where I am going to propose
" Alright. Dad, I'll see you later tonight." Emma tells Jason
Jason walks out the door climbing into his truck heading to the place where I took Emma on our first date.
" Hello beautiful. I missed you." I tell Emma kissing her lips
" I missed you too. Let me put those roses in some water and then we can be on our way." Emma tells me
" Alright." I tell Emma
5 minutes later Emma and I are in my car driving to the spot where Jason is waiting for us.
After 15 minutes of driving Emma and I arrive and get out of the car and start the 5 minute walk to the spot.
After a little while of walking Emma and I arrive at the spot.
" Do you know where we are?" I ask Emma
" The woods." she replies
" Yes. We are in the woods but 4 years ago today I brought you here for our first date." I tell her
" Clay, You remembered." Emma tells me
" Emma, I love you more than I ever thought was possible. I want to spend the rest of my days loving you, holding you, protecting you but most of all beside you. I don't know what is going to happen but I do know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you if you'll let me. Emma Hayes, Will you marry me?" I ask Emma sliding down onto one knee opening the ringbox
" Yes!!!" Emma exclaims happily
I stand up and slide the engagement ring onto Emma's left hand ring finger.
I pull Emma into my arms and press my lips against hers.
After a few minutes of talking, kissing, and hugging. Emma and I start to head back to the car.
Emma and I go back to her house and get separate showers and get dressed into some comfortable sweats and walk downstairs and sit on the couch talking about our wedding. After a bit of discussion's Emma and I decided to get married 4 months from now and we also decided that we wanted to keep it small.
After a bit of talking Emma and I started drifting asleep on the couch in each others arms.
