Chapter 24

Y/N POV

The scent of blood everywhere. I don't wanna prey on anyone. I don't want to kill. I don't want blood, but I need it.

I stood on top of the pillars on the bridge as my tails held onto them tightly so I didn't fall. I looked and watched the cars go by as I counted to get my mind off of thoughts. The water underneath was rippling as the stars reflected off the surface.

My hoodie was on to protect my identity and it was chilly out. I was sulking on the side as I thought I couldn't go back to the hotel. They probably told the managers and getting me kicked out for being a monster.

"So you're just gonna sulk here?" I heard a voice say. I looked behind me and it was just a dark figure. No face, just a black silhouette.

"So you're just gonna kill me?" I asked as I stood up balancing on the little beam trying to look at the weird figure.

"I'm not a grim reaper." The figure said with a low voice. I clicked my tongue as I rolled my eyes.

"Wish you were." I muttered as I just sat back down in disappointment.

"That pill just made your condition worse. The more you take the more you lose control without it." He said as I shrugged.

"Then why would Dahyun give it to me." I asked as I just wiped my eyes from the little wetness it was accumulating.

"She wouldn't know better. Besides, she's just a blood bank for someone else." He said. I shivered from not the things he said, but the word blood triggered something in me.

"Why are you here anyway?" I asked as I stood up once more and looked at the figure.

"It's come to my attention a lot of people know what you are." The figure said. Actually, the more I looked the more women like the figure looked. The voice was high pitched too so I should have known.

"So what about it? Going to terminate me because I'm a threat to my kind?" I said as my tail pointed towards the figure as I crossed my arms in front of my chest; standing tall. The four tails shining in the moon as the red was glowing through the plates of ivory white.

"No. Well yes. But no like I said I'm not killing you." I just scoffed at the figure as I lowered my tails.

"You're one of the rarest of our kind. We are all scattered around the world." The figure went on to say. I was highly interested in what they were babbling about.

"Someone is going to come for you though. They are going to try to steal your tails." They said and I grew confused.

"Steal my tails? How do they do that?" I asked as I looked at my tail and touched it. It felt smooth to the touch as the armor felt rough.

"They kill you for it. You acquire them by infusing it into you." I nodded my head as they walked closer to me.

"But you gotta learn to survive the basics first." They said pushing me. I lost my footing as I fell backward. I tried using my tails to penetrate the metal pillars as it successfully did eventually go through. It stopped me above the water as I was breathing hard from the fear and adrenaline.

"They're going to do more than just push you off a bridge." The figure said as they were just floating beside me.

"What the hell was that for?!" I asked as I clung into the pillars with my tails tightly to not fall again.

"You should train. You'll need it." The figure said before disappearing into thin air.

"What the hell... what...?" I crawled back up the bridge until I super jumped on top of the pillar again.

The scent of blood filled my lungs. Fresh blood. New killed.

I followed the scent as it leads me to some ally. The sight as gruesome. A man eating another as he looked up at me and his eyes were like my right one. Just both of them were black.

"I-It's you! The one with the tails!" He said dropping the man he was feasting hungrily on. He stood up as he had a huge spiral go down his shoulder. The color was hot pink with the same red color coming from the inside. The spiral soon turned into a sword as if covered his whole arm.

"W-What the fuck is that?!" I said stepping back a bit terrified.

"Give me... give me!" He said lunging at me going for a big swing. He was about to hit me when I used my tails to defend from his strong blow.

"Give me it!" He desperately yelled as he kept going attack after attack. He cornered me into the ally as I was only shielding his attacks.

"Get away from me!" I yelled as I opened up my tails sending him flying away from me.

"That hurt..." he mumbled as he stood up. His eyes had an insane look to them and I was panicked of what he would do.

"Get away!" I said scooting to the back as my tails pointed to him. He lunged at me again and I closed my eyes. I felt nothing but liquid.

I looked up to see that my four tails stabbed through him at once above me as his blood drowned me in crimson. My stomach turned if not from the sight, but from the overwhelming scent of blood.

I split apart my tails as he slowly got cut in half. Both sides of his body on the opposite side of me. From the corner of my eye, I saw a pink light come from his arm. I touched it and I felt a sharp pain in my arm as I groaned in pain. I closed my eyes to endure it, but when I opened my eyes. His spiral sword was on my right hand. It was fit to my size as it was snug on my arm and the sharp part away from my hand.

"So this is what they meant."
