---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Today is June 5th I’m seven years old same as my brother. My mom just died of cancer. Her last words were for my brother. She wants him to train so that he can help my father in battle. He starts tomorrow. But for now, my father has sent my brother and I off to bed “Its been a stressful and sad night” is all he says.
“Wake up young mistress its time for breakfast.” Its my maid Sarrah. “Your dress is laid out on the night stand, your father and brother are waiting in the dinning room for you.” “Thank you.” I hurry up and get dressed. On my way down to the dinning room and all threw breakfast I cant help but wonder why everybody is acting as if my mother didn’t just die the night before.
I’m suddenly pulled from my thoughts as my brother asks “May I be excused? I have to prepare for the lessons mother asked me to attend.” “Of course Nickless.” “Father may I be excused as well?” “Of course Rosalina.” “Thank you father.” I push back my chair as quickly and quietly as I can.
Then I head to my room and change out of my dress and into a pair of leggings, a tee shirt, put on a pair of flats, and pull my hair into a pony tail. I’m ready to go. I open my door and peek just in time to see Nickless round the corner at the end of the hall.
I run quickly and quietly, making no more sound than a feather blowing in the breeze to catch up with him, but also have my distance so that I don’t become noticed by him. I fallow him down a few more halls, darting into hiding every once in a while when he turns to look behind him.
Finally he comes to a halt in front of the new training room. I wait until he goes in side. Then I make my way to the next room, also known as the old training room. It has a mirror that makes it to where you can see into the other training room, but they can’t see you, to them it’s just a mirror. The only down side is not only can I hear them, but they can hear me.
From my view Nickless is specking with Stefan. “How long will I be training?” “For about the next five years, or longer depending on if you pay attention or not. But enough questions its time to begin. Lets start with the basics.”
Stefan shows Nickless the steps, and I mimic his every move. After Nickless has the steps down, Stefan and Nickless gradually exonerate going faster and faster. Soon all three of us are going full speed in sync.
I continue to secretly train when ever Nickless and Stefan do all threw Nickless’s and my own tenth birthday and a little longer. A couple weeks after Nickless and I celebrate our birthday, Stefan has reached old age, and can no longer train Nickless, and is replaced by Stefan’s son Mickel.
Mickel is a good trainer like his father so training picks up where Stefan left off. Nickless trains hard in the training room, as do I on the other side of the mirror for the next two and a half years. By the end of Nickless’s training he and I are extraordinary at the art of fighting and killing.
Nickless gets to proudly present his skills to father why I on the other hand get to act as if I don’t know a thing about the art, and I’m awestruck by Nickless’s presentation, all so that he and my father don’t find out that I secretly trained as well. After Nickless’s presentation, its time for dinner. I go up to my room to change out of the dress I’m wearing and into an evening gown. After I’m changed I head down to the dinning room.
