(Tanjiro's POV)
i walked down the road exhausted after my previous mission.
"TANJIRO!! head up the mountain! People have started going missing there!!" The only thing is, My kasugai crow hasn't stopped yelling at me since i started walking. "Please stop yelling!! I get the message, just please give me a second im really ti-"
The crow interrupted me yet again, "theres no time for relaxation!! You must travel up-"
This time the crow got enterupted by someone screaming, i looked over to see a blonde boy clinged to a girl screaming about something, even the crow was quiet. "Please!! Please marry me!! Im going to die soon anyways!!!" Im really confused, and so is the crow at this point. "Please!!" He yelled again. Wait, is he crying? Like begging her?
Then his small bird flew over to me, "chi chi, chi chi!" I nodded. "Hes complaining about his missions? Always hitting on girls? Ok, ill do something about it.."
I decided to help the bird out because it looks very agitated because of this boy. I walked up and grabbed him by the back of his haori "Hey! Leave this girl alone!!" He looked scared after i grabbed him by the haori.
"wait!! We've met before!! At final selection remember?! Remember?!?!" He sniffed.
"what! I've never seen you before in my life!!" I glared a him and he flinched.
"AHHH! YOUR THE ONE WITH BAD MEMORY!! WE DID MEET! WE DID!" then it hit me, we did meet, he was the one crying at final selection, wishing for death even.
I dropped him and apologized "ahahah- im sorry" I scratched the back of my head in embarrassment. Jeez it was only about two weeks ago, how could i forget.
He looked at me anger and sadness in his eyes "stay out of this!! We're going to get married, and it has nothing to do with you!!"
"I never said wanted to marry you!! I just saw you in the side of the road crying, and wanted to help!!"
"You dont want to marry me?!"
"No!!! Of course not!! I have a fiancé!!!" Then the girl started to slap him over and over so i had to hold her back by her shoulders "w-wait-" The blonde just held his cheek and cryed. She eventually stopped, puffed her cheeks out and walked away.
"W-wait!! You need to marry me!" He then looked at me, "what was that about?!?! I was going to get married!! You ruined it!!"
"Well i was just doing what your sparrow asked me to do, he said you were complaining about your missions, constantly yelling and screaming, hitting on girls-"
"You can speak bird?!?!"
I just nodded in agreement.
"Your just trying to trick me!! Right?!? A trick!!"
"I Uhhh..."
He started to Hyperventilate and he grabbed onto my haori.
"You must protect me!! Im to weak to fend for myself!! I won't last a day on my own!!! Please, please, please!! If not, i will die! Die,die,die!!" I puffed my chest out, determined to protect him, and asked "im Tanjiro Kamado! What is your name?"
He sniffed a few times before answering "Zenitsu Agatsuma.."
"Zenitsu, why did you join the demon slayer corps?" He didn't stand up, instead he just started crying some more.
